UD picks up a pretty good transfer, Josh Parker, from Drake. At first I got him confused with Josh Young and thought, "Holy crap! How did UD snare him?"

Charlotte has Shamari Spears eligible to play this year after sitting out this past season after transferring from BC. He should be a force in the A10.

And they have Chris Braswell coming in next season. Things are looking up for them.

Niner fans it looks like XU is in the mix along with Charlotte and LSU, among others, for Noel Johnson's services. Word is he was on campus today. He was being recruited by Pat Kelsey when he was at Wake Forest before deciding to attend USC. So, that's the connection since Kelsey is now Chris Mack's right-hand man. Johnson would be a huge get for Xavier in 2009.

I don't know how the other teams stack up in the A-10 this upcoming season but man the 49ers incoming class of Freshmen and Transfers makes it look like this team will be up there in competition for the A-10.

I totally agree with you. I haven't heard much mentioned about them. Everyone thinks Dayton will be the preseason favorite to win the league. They're sleeping on Charlotte. Once the new Niner team gels, I think they have just as good of a shot to win it, especially if they are able to land Noel Johnson.

Interesting. He probably won't be a starter since Juwan Staten will be a freshman in 2010 and most likely the starting PG.

Little update on Noel Johnson that I forgot to post. Apparently the Xavier campus visit didn't happen. It was all set up and XU cancelled at the 11th hour. I still haven't heard why. Only speculation and rumors. Something changed their mind.
