    Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

I'm a little surprised with a couple of the pairings (namely Temple-Charlotte, even though Andy Katz says that makes sense because they are both leaving?) but overall it's about what I expected. I'm just glad X gets to play VCU, Temple, SLU, and UMass at Cintas rather than on the road. I want to see at least a 12-4 conference record. Might not happen in a rebuilding year with the group of teams playing in it this year but who knows. All X seems to do is win somehow every year. Gotta keep the faith.

This is going to be a good year for my Minutemen.

I think it's going to be a GREAT year for the league period. So many teams, including your Minutemen, are contenders. Like I said, I'm glad X gets UMass in Cincy. Gives them a better shot at getting a W in that one.

While UMass plays at Xavier, we get to host Temple. I'm afraid Temple was too scared to continue competing with us, since they're headed to the Big East next year.

And who knows what will happen with the whole Khalif Wyatt thing too. I guess he'll be allowed to play but if he gets suspended, that will obviously make life more difficult for the Owls.

If Temple isn't recruiting anybody in the Boston/ New England area, it doesn't make that much sense to play a team in the area unless they are Top 25 or potential tournament team especially since they will be playing at Providence every two years.

That comment was not meant as some type of we're superior attitude. It just my opinion on how out of conference scheduling will work. I know Memphis for a while didn't want to play certain teams to restrict their access to recruits in Memphis as much as possible. I know when we played Kansas at home in 2010, it was due to Kansas recruitment of the Morris twins.

I know we will be going softer on our out of conference schedule, which I understand on one hand but I am disappointed on the other hand.

Oh and Khalif Wyatt will be suspended but not kicked off the team, I don't know how long he will be suspended. I haven't heard anything yet.

                Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

Well, with Lyons transferred, McKenzie transferred, Wells expelled, Jalen Reynolds ineligible, Myles Davis ineligible (which is complete BS story here), and JUCO transfer Chris Cantino so far ineligible, Xavier has 8 scholarship players for this upcoming season which includes a brutal schedule. Chris Mack is seriously going to have his work cut out for him.
