What I find interesting is The Sporting News named him to 3rd Team All-American as well as A10 POY. I think Anderson is a great player who is going to end up in the NBA but Crawford was that much better. Maybe the A10 coaches don't like him. I know how he carries himself at times can turn people off. Hell, lots of Xavier fans had to warm up to him because X hasn't had a talent like his since David West and weren't used to having a star player. Plus you didn't see West acting the way Jordan does at times either. The kid is just confident and really darn good.
Anyway, I don't know if anybody knows what Jordan is going to do next season. He's dodged the questions when they've come up. If he is on track to graduate in May 2011, which he could be since he's a RS SO, I think from a life standpoint, it would be a little silly to leave school when you only have one year left to finish for your diploma. I want Xavier players to graduate. People made a big deal about Derrick Brown leaving "early" for the NBA when he had a year left because it never happens at Xavier. Well, Brown graduated with two degrees. Sure he had one year of eligibility left since he was a RS JR as well, but he was ready to move on. I hope Jordan sticks around another year from a selfish fan's standpoint as well as for his own life and gets his degree. He's been amazing to watch.
That's kind of the way I feel. UD limped into the tournament and, from what I've heard from people who watched the game, the Flyers didn't look very inspired. I think Crawford will be playing with a chip on his shoulder for getting snubbed on POY. Plus, I think these guys badly want to play Richmond again after Kevin Anderson said the Spiders were still the better team following their loss to X in Cincy. I'll be disappointed if the Muskies come out flat Friday evening.
