I would like to add, the Flyer faithful can thank the officials for changing the complexion of the game for calling those 4 fouls combined on Jason Love and Kenny Frease for doing nothing during the first 2 minutes of that game. That was BS. Probably wouldn't have mattered in the end because UD seemed to want it more but that really changed the way X was going to play.

Officials give the advantage to every home team, I really hate it overall. Same can be said for Chris Wright's fouls at Xavier.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Good day for the league yesterday, the top 2 teams fall, but in doing so boost the resumes of Richmond and Dayton. Charlotte has played two horrible games in a row, they will get destroyed @ Dayton if they make it three. They are alone in first, but also appear the most shakey out of the top six right now.
The thing that worries me right now about the league is that it is looking like nobody will be ranked at tourny time if the current pace keeps up, which means thr 3-6 teams who get in will all be 7-11 seeds, which means not many favorable matchups for the league. Also, lacking a dominant team will bring all of the league members down a little on selection sunday, the perception of having a top 20 team would help the whole league.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Everyone knows that a Bobby Lutz team plays down and up to their opponents.
I expect Charlotte be prepared for Dayton on Wednesday, hopefully Derrio Green could get going early.
But if they do show up like they did against ODU or how they have recently, they will lose by 30+.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
You are right though. Seems the refs, especially the A-10, tend to favor the home team. I try to be as objective as possible when watching the games at Cintas and X has gotten away with plenty of stuff.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

No TV or WebTV for UD/Charlotte. Only one of the biggest A-10 games this season. Argh!Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Wow Richmond goes to Rhody and wins by 2. They were down 65-60 with 3 to go. Then up 3 with 5.5 secs left Richmond fouled so RI could nor hit a 3. He made the first and intentionally missed the second. Rams got rebound but could not hit tying shot. That just might be the win that locks up a bidS.O.S Crew

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Huge win for the Flyers. I'm hoping the tourney selection committee will look at how they blew out Xavier and Charlotte, while their losses to RI and St. Joe's were only 1 point losses.
It seems like Gregory has finally slowed down on his hockey-style substitutions and is letting guys get into a rhythm before making subs.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Dayton is rolling, starting to live up to those preseason expectations, they dominated two good teams at home, they will be a tough out in the tourny. Charlotte's played three bad ones in a row, at least they get a week off to figure it out.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Rhody @ Temple is the big one this weekendm tough spot for Rhody coming off of the loss to Richmond and getting Temple who's had a week to prepare coming off of their own loss to Richmond.
Xavier @ Florida should be good. Richmond should handle the Bonnies, Dayton goes to St. Louis who has played everyone closely outside of the blowout @ Richmond.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Temple beat Rhode Island today and looked really good in doing it. That effectively kills Rhode Island chances at a regular season title with 4 losses and being in 6th place currently.
St.Louis beat Dayton in 2 OT's and probably hurts Dayton chances at an at large. But Xavier won at Florida today which is a great win for them.
I think the results of today could narrow the A-10 down to 4 bids come March madness.
