X is in a nice little record-boosting portion of the schedule, some tough games coming up, but they should win the next three and start looking like a tourny lock. It will probably come down to X and Temple for the A10 title, unless one of the second tier teams gets hot.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Yeah, they need to just take care of business with these two games. I think they'll get beat @ Dayton and @ Charlotte. They might lose one more (@ Florida or @ St. Louis?) before the conference tournament starts. I predicted prior to the season that they'd have anywhere from 7-12 losses by season's end. They are on pace for that and I'll be happy heading into the A-10 tournament with 9 or 10 losses at most, as long as they are "good" losses, and a strong RPI.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Should be a good finish to the league this year, if the good teams don't blow any of the ones they should win, it could be a 5 bid league.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
If the season ended today I think Temple and Xavier would be safely in, Rhody would get in as a 10 seed(or so) and Richmond, Dayton and Charlotte would all be sweating, but all are legit bubble teams right now.
I think the A10 gets 4 bids this year, but I could see it being 3 or 5 depending on how it plays out. The league has a bit of recent history with killing itself in league play but having a surprise team get the auto-bid.
Anything can happen, 6 teams have legit hope right now which is great, hopefully those are the 6 at the top of the league when its all over, that is the best way to get the most bids, but it is more likely that a couple of teams will get cold and fall out of the discussion.Comment

That is the truth. And then we listen to Jay Bilas ***** about that A10 team getting in over some BCS conference school with a barely above .500 conference record who didn't play anybody out of conference.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Joe Lunardi's latest Bracketology (or at least the one I looked at yesterday) had 5 A-10 teams in it.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Let's hope that keeps up.
And yes, Rhody's schedule down the stretch is very favorable, but they still have some tough teams *Temple, Charlotte, Richmond* so we'll see how it ends up. I think they need to beat at least one of those teams, but probably two.Too Old To Game Club

Nothing unexpected yesterday, everybody took care of business. The only crazy thing was the final of the SLU/Richmond game - 32 points St. Louis???? Xavier should get the win today capping of a good weekend for the conference, the top of the league needs to keep winning.Comment

SLU was 0-10 from 3-pt range and 0-3 on FT's. Very strange box score.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Lunardi has Dayton out of the tournament in his latest bracketology. Still has five A10 teams though: Temple, Xavier, Richmond, Rhody, and Charlotte. Dayton really needs to beat X on Saturday. I'm hoping X beats them but the Flyers get a win somewhere else.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
Most of the brackets out there have the A10 with 5 teams now, and most have Dayton as the odd team out. I think that's fair for now, but there are a lot of games left to play. Charlotte has to go to Dayton next week which could be huge unless both teams get their wins elsewhere.
Temple, Xavier and Rhody are all getting votes in both polls this week, Xavier is pretty close to being ranked now. Charlotte got some AP votes, but none in the coaches poll. I'm glad to see Temple didn't fall too far in either poll, shows some respect for the A10.
Not a very exciting mid week schedule this week. Xavier goes to UMass who is so up-and-down that they might make a game of it or they might lose by 30. Richmond goes to St. Joes which is never an easy win.
The rest of the top 6: Rhody @ La Salle(tonight), Duquesne @ Temple, GW @ Charlotte. Dayton doesn't play until the weekend.Comment
