Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
By the way, I was corrected today on the rule I posted above. I still don't know what is correct in all honesty but in regards to the Xavier player getting injured and not able to shoot FT's, which allowed Charlotte to choose a replacement shooter from among the other 4 XU players on the floor, that is rule. Not what I said. ...I think.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
It was weird, the refs never reported the T to the 4th ref. So Braswell was able to take the FTs then all of a sudden they said he fouled out and without letting anyone in Halton know Green found his way on the line. It was a very awkward state of affairs.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
I think the Niners will win a few more. They have Dayton at home next and the Flyers are a train-wreck of disappointment. They can beat them. I think they'll beat GW on the road and St. Joe's at home. @ SLU, vs Richmond, and @ X might be a little tough though. How about 5-11 in conference play and an A-10 Tourney bid. Sound okay?MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Any word coming out of Dayton about the job security of Gregory? They had so much hype coming into the season and I can't remember the last time they suffered this many losses at home

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
It sounds like the fans are up-in-arms (see the previous page with the link to the video). Yeah, due to them winning the post-season NIT last year and with all they had coming back, they were mega-hyped, but they deserved it. I'm a little shocked that their season has gone the way it has. Honestly, if they don't make the NCAA tournament somehow, it wouldn't surprise me if UD made a change after the season. Gregory's teams have tended to show over the years that they can't win conference games on the road and, like all the previous coaches before him going back 30 years, they can't beat their biggest rival on their home floor. The UD Arena was once a strength but this season they really haven't even had that. Going to be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
I've been ok with Gregory, but this year has changed my mind. They had a talented team coming back, but they've definitely regressed this year. It seems like players rarely make significant progress after their freshman year (and some even regress), and that has to be on the coaching staff.
Also watching Dayton native Norris Cole dominating the Horizon League for Cleveland State makes me question Gregory's recruiting/scouting. They've needed a PG like Cole for years and he missed one right in his backyard.
Every offseason Gregory's name is mentioned for other openings. I won't be disappointed if Gregory moves on after this year.Comment

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
I hope Chris Wright has been practicing his French, German, or Italian because he's not going to be playing basketball in the U.S. after he graduates. Terrible performance in a big game yet again. This disappointing Dayton season has been really frustrating.Comment

(Unless it's for OOC wins)
Marino and CM, I am predicting a 20-30 point blowout on Wednesday as X exacts revenge on the Niners. It's Senior Night. No way the walk-on seniors for X don't see the floor at some point.Last edited by SlimKibbles; 02-28-2011, 11:53 PM.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread
The kid ran his mouth before the game yesterday and didn't back it up on the court. Super athlete that I predicted many pages ago in this thread would win the A-10 POY award at some point. Well that hasn't happened. I'm beyond frustrated if I'm a Flyer fan. Thankfully, I'm not.(Unless it's for OOC wins)
