Yes, I'm serious. I'm under no illusion that 95% of the top recruits go through the motions w/school. & that colleges as a whole don't care if their players learn anything. But there should be some facade of being a learning institution. From nearly every indication I've seen from Wall, he has no interest whatsoever in going to school. He's only doing this because he has to.

He seems like a prima donna who wants to be showcased. That's never been Carolina. As the old joke said, "who's the only one who can hold Jordan to under 20 pts? Dean Smith."

Now once again, as I said before, he's young. Maybe he's changed. If Roy got an indication of that. That he's no longer letting his "uncles" drive the show, then maybe I see why he's getting back into the derby. Seeing how Roy handled the JamesOn situation, I'll have to trust he sees something I don't see from my obviously limited, outside view.

And UNC doesn't recruit solely because dook wants the guy. If that were true, Roy wouldn't have waited until March to call on a guy who lives in Raleigh. That's pure bull.

Oh OK. I didn't know if you were trying to be sarcastic or not. His situation is pretty much the same as OJ Mayo's and I blame the NBA's age limit rule.

I know UNC doesn't solely recruit because Dook wants the guy but Coach K has been aggressive lately in his attempts to get Wall. He(Coach K( may finally see the writing on the wall. I don't know the background situation between Roy & Wall but it seems like Wall always had other schools rated higher.

Taking off my Big Blue blinders, I would be shocked if Wall didn't end up at Baylor, N.C. State, or UK. Those are the only three places he wouldn't have to compete for playing time. UNC has Drew/Strickland and Duke has Elliot Williams/Scheyer/Nolan Smith. UK does not have a true point guard on its roster, and I believe Curtis Jarrells was a senior this year. And NC State is in his hometown and he would immediately become their best player.

If he goes to Dook Scheyer & Williams slide over the 2 & 3.

Wall will only be at his school for one stinkin year anyway. Who cares if he takes his education seriously? If he ends up at Duke or UNC do you really think either coach will allow him to F up their program? Hell no. It'll be fine wherever he goes just look at Mayo. With all of the BS that surrounded him SC still kept it pretty clean.

Daniel Orton has asked for his release from UK.

Says he is still considering UK, but I doubt he ends up there now that Cousins is coming. Look for Kansas or OK State to get him, in my opinion.

koach k has been going after Wall hard ever since he lost Boyton to Florida.

I have no idea where Wall has had UNC ranked in his top 5 or 6. But UNC has largely observed from afar. It wasn't until March that I heard they were actually trying to get him into Chapel Hill. But everytime I looked @ Wall's choices, he still had UNC among his picks. The fact that they were still there despite dook, Memphis, Baylor & others going at him full bore, tells me he's been always interested, highly interested.

Orton came out tonight and said that it was a misunderstanding, and he's still a Wildcat.

I saw that his father was interviewed and he said that it wasn't true and not to listen to anything until you hear it from his mouth. With that said, I think those are their intentions and they just didn't want it out yet.

But I also think that they are curious to see what Patterson does. If he declares for the draft and is projected to be around 15-18 then he should probably go. If not, then he will likely be back and then I can see Orton going elsewhere. If he goes pro, then I would expect Orton to play along side Cousins.

On another note, Nolan Dennis has asked for his release from Memphis and it is speculated he will commit to UK. Very nice player with explosiveness.

Wall's either going to Kentucky or going to NC State. He wants playing time, that's where he'll get it most. If I was Roy, I would feel I was wasting my time dealing with this bimbo. No matter what, he's one-and-doneing. Why go to a school known to develop it's players? After all, if Wall does go to UNC, he should realize he's making the best decision for himself to not only play for them, but play for them longer than his Freshman year so he can develop into a great player. Roy molds ok guys into great players, look at Hansbrough.

still considering them though. Just cause he hasn't said anything recently, doesn't mean they aren't still on the table. They're in his backyard, anything could happen.

I don't see Wall ending up at UNC. It would be nice to have another PG on the roster next year since Larry Drew is really the only true point, though Strickland can probably play some minutes there. If he's really told his "handlers" to **** off, then maybe Carolina is a viable option, because it's obvious Clifton (his AAU coach) doesn't want him at UNC.

Even if he's one and done, he'd provide a great option to have with Drew until Kendall Marshall gets there to shore up depth.

Still very early in the process for this and I don't see it happening.
