No. Classic NBA tweener. Not a PG and too small and unathletic to play the 2. He turned himself into a hell of a college player. He does a lot of the little things really well.

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread

What a disgusting game to swallow last night as a Louisville fan. Under no circumstances should we have lost that game. None. But somehow we did. I'm not taking anything away from 'Nova as they are deserving of their #4 ranking, but damnit when you have a team down by 17 in your gym, you cannot, and great teams do not, lose the game.

Walking out I listened to UofL fans whine and moan about how the officials helped 'Nova win and all I could do is laugh. The game was entertainingly called. A touch foul here, and guy gets hammered and the refs don't see that. Guys stepping on imaginary out of bounds lines, one end its an over the back foul, but down at the other end its not...it was entertaining to say the least.

But as I told those fans...there were 3 key factors in this game

      1) Scottie Reynolds

      2) Dookie ( I have no idea what the kids name is, but he's the transfer from Duke...we called him Dookie during the game)

      3) Shooting percentages. ('Nova 49% - UofL 31%)

Thats it. I told a friend of mine sitting next to me at the half that we would lose. 'Nova had settled down, was handling our pressure better, but we wasn't handling theirs. And sure enough, as sick as it made me, we lost.

Next up..@ Pittsburgh in what I'm deeming a must win game for the Cardinals if they want to have any say in who's the champion of this conference.

That Dookie is Taylor King and he isn't half as bad as people make him out to be. He can shoot from range and showed a good off hand last night.

I thought the reffing was horrible too last night. That 5th foul on Siva was a clean pick and would have been a huge momentum swing. He really impressed me and by the end of the year I wouldn't be suprised to see Sosa on the bench. L'ville should have just kept feeding Samuels. He single handidly got Nova in foul trouble.

I gotta give it to Nova though. They are deep as hell this year with some actual size. The African kid who had hepatitis and Dominic Cheek are going to be ballers. I hate Fisher's game though, he's so out of control. Almost like a Kemba Walker but with a better J.

You are right about the referees. There were well over 60 fouls called in that game. It lasted FOREVER. Crazy touch fouls everywhere. Players had to know they were gonna call those reach in fouls even when it was a clean strip. Preston Knowles had what I thought was a great pickpocket in the waning minutes near halfcourt, but got whistled. Siva had one right before that where he picked it clean, but got called for the foul because he threw the man down going for it, so I thought that one was a good call. Way too many fouls in that game, referees have to let them play a little more.

Couldn't agree more. Start either Beverly at PG, or move Dyson over and start Coombs at the 2. I said it after the Cinci game and I will reiterate here, go back to the playground Kemba. I hope he goes pro, I'm getting a little tired of yelling at the TV every posession. I miss AJ.

Dyson and Walker are so insanely overrated, have no idea how to play basketball. You know, organized 5v5 basketball, with rules and refs. Agree with everyone's sentiments that Dyson doesn't have much of a future in the NBA. As much as I love Sticks and his crazy put-backs, I wish he'd hang on the rim a little less, especially if you're going to end up blowing a 20 pt lead. My rant for the day.

97 FTs in that Nova/UL game?

Thank god I didn't watch that game.

Ouch!! Rutgers should be a 10-point win AT LEAST. As for WVU and ND, good luck. I think ND matches up well with Syracuse while WVU is just a darn good team...

Yea, Cuse is taking care of Rutgers tonight, but I do worry about WVU and ND. WV is not playing very good against USF so you gotta believe they will come out firing when Syracuse comes to town.Basically if Syracuse can come away with 2 wins during this road trip I will be happy.

Pitt sure does look good right now, they are up 8 on UCONN.

I can see why you guys are hating on walker now. Too out of control and can make layups. He is also lazy on the defensive end.
