The reasons that we are debating whether a 19-14 Illinois squad or a 23-8 Virginia Tech team should be in is EXACTLY why the NCAA should not expand the field past 68.

Re: Selection Sunday Thread
Some thoughts after really looking at the brackets:
*Kansas the #1 overall seed and they have probably the hardest bracket. Ohio St, Georgetown, Maryland and Mich St. That doesn't seem to fair to me, not to mention they have to play a dreaded Patriot League school first...anyone remember Bucknell?
*Duke being put in ahead of Syracuse and not only that gets put in the easiest of the 4 brackets. Duke gets the play-in winner and its toughest matchup could be a 9 seeded Louisville.
*Georgetown and Villanova should've swapped seeding. G'town is playing better than 'Nova right now and the committee really should've looked at how they are playing right now on this one.
*The committee wasn't consistent in what they said about judging a teams overall body of work and not it's last 10 games. The head of the committee tells CBS that Duke moves ahead of Syracuse because they win the ACC and 'Cuse gets knocked out of Big East early. Clearly 'Cuse has a better body of work, but because of it's last loss Duke moves up, then to turn around and move up a team like 'Nova ahead of G'Town for a 2 seed.
*Wake Forest (won't go on my rant again) but they are too high and there are teams playing a lot better than they are right now that should be in ahead of them. The only true justice is they play another underachieving team in Texas and one of them will have to knock the other out.
*Cornell and Northern Iowa are seeded to low, both should've moved up a slot or two.
*Florida getting a 10 seed. I have no problem with them being in the tournament, but a 10 is too high.
*Also, isn't there a rule that two teams from the same conference can't meet up until the regional final? It happens twice. First, in the East bracket where West Virginia could meet Marquette in the regional semi and in the South bracket where Notre Dame could meet up with Villanova in the regional semi.Comment

Re: Selection Sunday Thread
Louisville is going to cause Duke big problems, but if they can get past them they will make the Elite 8 without issue. Shocked that our bracket is so light compared to the others.Comment
