I do think defense is the key to beating UK though but Texas isn't the magic potion.

As for Texas, they are so soft it's scary. Their talent, much like UConn this year, is vastly overrated. Damion James is an animal but outside of that there isn't much that impresses. Bradley will be very good down the line but Dexter Pittman will probably go in the tank the first time Cousins scores on him. Not to mention we'll be throwing Rick Barnes into the equation here too.
Pittman's sorry *** will be on the bench within 5 minutes with two fouls. Once they get down, they'll panic, and Hamilton/J'Covan will be jacking up three's all night. UK will get anything they want, especially if Barnes is stupid enough to put Mason or Lucas on Wall. And outside of Pittman, who else can guard Airhead Cousins?

It's going to be sad to see Damion James go out in the second round like Abrams did last year.

lots of major overreaction in this thread

i dont see any bracket that is any dissimilar to any other and many of you are overrating some teams in the midwest big time and underrating teams in the south big time

LOL...just wait on Kentucky. I watched nearly every one of their 19 SEC games. They could have easily gone 11-5 in the SEC. They have 1 quality win OOC and it was at home versus Louisville.

They played in a weak conference and played a soft OOC schedule(due to UNC, UConn, Indiana, and Stanford being garbage).

Understandably they get a lot of pub. But trust me, they're not a Final Four team.

Every team in the history of college basketball has won close games.

They could have lost 3 more games, but so could every team who has ever played basketball.

A 32-2 team that is a lock to the Final Four shouldn't have as many ugly wins as they do.

Ugly win or blowout, a wins a win.

They find ways to get the job done and that's all that matters.

Lol when I saw the bracket I thought this: Is there such a thing as sweet revenge in a 1 vs 16 game if the 1 wins?

                      This isn't college football.

                      There aren't style points.

Every national championship team since the 99 UCONN team had more losses than Kentucky, and that doesn't factor in how many close games they played.

Ugly wins are IMO better for a young, inexperienced team like Kentucky than the 20 point win. This shows they know how to grind it out, win games down the stretch, and be a championship team.

Duke will be exposed for the non-athletic, overrated team they are when they meet a physical, athletic team with an inside presence such as Louisville.
