If UK players stayed, we'd still have Davis,Wall,Cousins, etc.
Nobody would want to play UK if that was the case. That's why Cal has been working behind the scenes to influence the NBA players' union to accept the idea of a higher draft eligible age requirement.

Your missing the point.
If players had to stay no way UK would have all of these players.
You think Davis and Noel would come to UK to play if they already had Cousins?
They would go somewhere else where they would be the man.
By the way the thought of Cousins actually going to school and taking classes for 3 years is pure comedy.
And the one and done is made for Cal, no way he would ever want it to go away!

As a huge Gtown fan I'm disappointed but how could you blame any kid for wanting to go to UK given their recent track record.

You can't blame them, the kids are basically kings of that state while they are there. People in that state are obsessed with UK basketball.

Has ESPN always had a signing special for college bball? I know they do it for football but that's because there is only one time where players can actually begin to sign.

I don't know if I will be able to take this every year. I can imagine Parker & Randle(or insert any other top 5 recruit) already planning out how they will announce next year.

Before we know it ESPN will have a channel dedicated to only high school sports.

I don't know how long it has been going on, but Brandon Knight (class of 2010) and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (class of 2011) picked Kentucky on the same day 2 years ago.. Don't know how long it's went on before that

They pretty much do it's called ESPNHS. They don't have a channel all to their own YET but you can see lots of ESPNHS programing on ESPN3 and ESPNU

You don't know how true that statement is. Except they are kings of the state for the rest of their lives, not just while they are at UK.

You're right.. I've seen so many people the last few years act like UK fans don't get an attachment to the players because they're one and done which is simply not true.. John Wall and Demarcus Cousins are as beloved here as Patterson, Hayes, Prince, Bogans, etc.. And that says alot considering Tayshaun and Patterson are 2 of the most beloved Wildcats of all time

I'm thrilled with the UK class, even though Shabazz don't mispronounce my name Muhammad picked the Bruins.

Only thing I'm slightly worried about for UK is Teague ... he really needs to stay in school to give this chance a legit chance at a repeat. And if you get another guy like Lamb to stick around, then you're really talking. Although I highly doubt the latter.

The lone scholarship commit in the Illini class of 2012 has decommitted and is taking a visit to Kansas State this week.

He met with Coach Groce and a couple days after decided to ask for his release from his NLI. Doesn't seem to be a great fit for Groce's system so glad he was able to go elsewhere now rather than spend a year here decide it doesn't work then have to sit a year before he can play again, he is a great fit in Weber's offense so hoping he goes to KSU.

Illini '12 class now consists of Mike LaTulip who is going to be a walkon, he is a sharp shooter so I'll be anxious to see how he is utilized.

I don't think Orris is a good fit for any high major system. He should be visiting Quincy University right now.

Apparently the rumor is Tony Parker will choose UCLA.
