Not necessarily. Perhaps people are learning that why should I go to duke if I'm a big guy. All ill do is set screens for the 3pt shooters.Comment

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread
Well yeah, but he's not a traditional big man. He's more of a 3/4 hybrid, not to mention I doubt they want a 6'9" 120 pound kid to set screens. I'm sure K and the yes men will find a way to screw this up though.Comment

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread
2012 recruiting is about wrapped up. Now Calipari is really putting on the full court press on Bennett and it will go down to the wire against Florida for his services. Amile Jefferson has rekindled his interest in UK, Calipari is Half heartedly keeping in touch but Duke is going to be tough to beat.
My prediction, UK adds Bennett and loses out on Jefferson.
UK's prospective rotation would look something like:
PG-Ryan Harrow/Archie Goodwin
SG-Archie Goodwin/Twaney Beckam
SF-Anthony Bennett/Alex Polythress/Kyle Wiltjer
PF-Kyle Wiltjer/Alex Polythress/Anthony Bennett
C-Nerlens Noel/Willie Cauley Stein
There is going to be heavy rotations at the Forward and Guard spots, but this has all the makings of a Monster team.
2013 prime targets are:
Jabari Parker-Good chance
Chris Walker-Probable UK recruit
Andrew Harrison-Nearly a UK lock
Aaron Harrison-Nearly a UK Lock
Troy Willaims-Good Chance
Julius Randle-Good chance

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread
Agree I think he fits best in the MVC where he originally committed (Creighton before changing his mind and switching to Illinois), but if hes going to a high major he can definitely fit in Weber's system although I don't think he would be much of a contributor before his junior year so there's probably a good chance he would wind up being recruited over.Favorite Teams:
NCAA- University of Illinois Fighting Illini
NFL- Cleveland Browns
MLB- St. Louis Cardinals
NBA- Boston Celtics
NHL- Chicago Blackhawks

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread
And as it falls, Duke is to Amile Jefferson.. I like the chances of landing him but ya never know.. But either way, Duke isn't that bad off..
People act like Duke is worse than Legigh which isn't true, it was a bad game and in a rematch Duke would win.. Duke had a sweet 16 at least team last season.. Getting rid of Rivers and only losing Miles, as well adding Rasheed Suiamon, who should fit better than Rivers did, and adding Marshall Plumlee and Alex Murphy (who's gonna help Duke at the 3/4 slot).. Duke won't be that bad off.. Especially if Quinn Cook can improve his game a bit over the off season..
Adding Jefferson would really help, but it's not necessaryFavorite Teams:
NCAAB- Duke Blue Devils (Defending National Champs!)
NASCAR- Kevin Harvick (Defending Sprint Cup Champ!)
NBA- Los Angeles Clippers
MLB- Miami Marlins
NFL- New York Jets
NCAAF- Duke Blue Devils
NHL- Carolina HurricanesComment

I didn't think I'd ever say Duke and Carolina would be overshadowed by the Pack.Comment

PG: Cook/Thornton
SG: Curry/Sulaimon
SF: Murphy
PF: Kelly/Hairston
C: Mason/Marshall
We're paper thin right now. Jefferson would be huge for SF/PF depth because I have 0 faith in Josh Hairston to contribute anything off the bench.Comment
