LMAO! Dude, I feel your pain. Even if you try to run plays in the 4th quarter, your teammates just ignore you and do whatever.

Unless I play a quickmatch, I always play 12 minute quarters. This means for me, between both teams, there are maybe 200 total combined possessions.

Of those 200 or so possessions, does the CPU cheese every single time? My response would be no it doesn't. Are there times when things happen that could be classified as cheese? Certainly.

This means that CPU cheese is a percentage between 0% and 100% of the time. So what percentage is it?

Is it 50 percent of the time? Is it 25% of the time.

Well, it's going to vary by the person depending on their playstyle. Guys that force it and get out of position more will see it more and guys who don't see it less.

The point I'm trying to make here is not that the game is cheese free and not that I don't see it, but that it can be a pretty insignificant part of the game if you work at it on your side of the ball.

How do you do that? By paying close attention to whatever it is and asking yourself is there anything I can do to prevent that.

A good example is the video above of the help coming from the corner and leaving the guy wide open for three. The help is triggered because he is out of position. He has to make one small change in how he defends to eliminate that and that's to make sure he doesn't get out of position with a manual defender by properly switching to the screener's defender out top until the PG's defender recovers and switching back. Do I always defend properly, no sometimes I get burned. Is this something that the developer's could work on, yeah to some extent.

Then, there's the video where the he shot fakes and the guy magically steals the ball from behind. Well, that's cheese and there's not much you can do about that.

I guess what I'm trying to say that there is some responsibility on the player to play his team better, not all of the responsibility but some of it, to get a better game. And if a player does that, he'll see a better game.

It's good to point out flaws and the developers do need to see them, but there are always going to be player flaws no matter what they do.

I live stream nearly all of my games whether I get killed or do well so you are welcome to see them and put what I am doing on twitter. The link is below.

I understand what you're saying Coach, that was apart of my strategy. I wanted to go under the screen to make him shoot the jumper. I was still in a good position to defend the drive.

Even if I was out of position there is a defender there plus as I stated in the video, my POE was limit parameter shots. Also he didn't get back at all, leaving the shooter wide open (he wasn't even close).

This is why we need individual defensive settings, I want to determine who I have help.
        True bout my business, Mane!

Atm I'm playing against the Bucks. Im PG so im guarding Knight, I dont go out of position, im not reaching but he always passes to Butler and Mayo who shoot 3s even if the defender is near, after the 1st quarter they shot 10 3s and scored 100% ofc. And its like that all day long, at the end of the game they averaged 75 fg%, and it seemed to go down only when I was subbed, cause it seemed to me like theyre were near 90% easy.

I play on HOF default settings and I was wondering if there was a way to make the CPU (opposing side) more fair in the FG%... Theyre not missing much, and I'm tired to score 60+ pts per game to try to win, because the CPU on my teams just fail easy standing layups...

It's because you are playing on Default setting, the CPU and User make everything.

Try switching it to HOF Sim, it's much better. Depending on how well you play defense and your teammate chemistry level, you should get them around 38-50% every game. I remember playing the Bucks a few days ago and they finished shooting 39% so it's possible.

Okay I will give it a try next time and tell you how it goes, because I grew tired of the HOF cheese... it's like every possession you have to score otherwise you lose the game.

                It's the game code?

1st year on the PS4 maybe the code is predictable?
Not enough lines? Too much script??
                Idk...

It is something when there's nothing that can really effect a run...You can either play "good" defense...or wait a couple minutes and it seems the code resets or it bounces to the opponent.

Either way it's there in The Park, MyCareer and Head2Head online for sure...only modes I play and I see it game after game, lol

I understand trying to create the "run" effect but the added boosts in opportunies and ratings is uneccessary and makes the game feel like NBA Jam w/great graphics...

cpu shooting over 50% from 3 in every game. The user experiences about 10 times more body contact than the cpu does. I try to chase down the cpu im bumping into everyone, getting stuck in animations, cpu chases me down they kinda just slide through everyone. The cpu recovers way to fast. cpu intercepting passes one handed, even full court passes one hand interceptions its ridiculous. The cheese in this game is insane, yet I still find myself playing the game. I wish they would just lower 3 point percentages by about 10 percent across the board, and lower block success about 15 percent. OH yea and why is it that when it comes to loose balls on tipped passes, blocks missed shots the cpu reacts and responds 10 times faster and recovers them about 80% of the time. I really wish I was exaggerating but im not.

It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

It's definitely something going on with this game. I haven't played in about 2 months until today. I'm playing an online ranked game...dude was cool, none of the cheesy bs...I'm the Wizards and he is the Suns. I'm up by 8 starting the 4th and he ended up outscoring me 32-9 in the quarter by shooting 11-13 from the field. Of that 11-13, he was 7-8 behind the 3pt line. I called timeouts, changed defense, didn't matter. This is why I took a 2 month break. And it's not like the dude was cheesing. It's the game code.

That's a good example of the game being too reliant on animations. I wouldn't call that cheese, just a serious problem with the game.

That's a fair point. It just feels like more goofy **** like that happens when the difficulty is higher than pro. And 9/10 it's in the CPU favor of course.

It seems like I get stuck into worse animations when I'm playing on higher levels but that just might be me. I do notice more things like players leaving assignments frequently. There definitely is a lot more suspect things happening on higher levels but that's just how 2k is.

I was 2 up in a playoff game, they were shooting a FT. They miss the 2nd, none of my guys try to get the board. Nate Robinson swoops in to lay it in to tie.

Next time control one of your bigs near the rim and get the rebound yourself...I've never had this problem. Even in MyCareer I do this and get the rebound...or if you're talking about MyCareer and you play PG or SG just turbo as soon as the 2nd shot is taken, you can usually get in there for the rebound
