Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
I even have these issues on pro. It's so odd, because I have never had these issues with any video game. I've actually regressed over the last month. So many of my passes are intercepted, that I just stop passing. Heck, I can't even make layups any more unless the player is completely alien in the paint.Comment

So...does anyone know a slider or setting that prevents the CPU from having wide open 3 pointers literally every f'ing trip downcourt?Comment

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
The only thing I can agree with on here is the CPU offensive rebounding. I'm getting a lot of one Offensive AI players out rebound 3 or sometimes 4 of my guys.
As far as the comeback stuff, I'm not seeing it. I'm playing on HOF without any tweeks to sliders and so far I am 10-4 with the bucks. My losses are to the heat (by 18), the cavs (by 2), the bulls (by 4) and Pacers (by 5). I have beaten 5 teams by double digits and 2 by more than 20 (Celtics and Bobcats). The Cavs game I mentioned they roared back on me in the 3rd but that was my fault. I was rushing plays and taking bad shots. I don't know how anyone plays but I would suggest slowing their offense down.Comment

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
Has anybody else noticed a difference in playing games between modes? I don't win a majority of the time with bad teams on Play Now- Pro. But I can take the same team into My GM and beat the Pacers on opening night with the same difficulty setting.Comment

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
Just finished Knicks vs. Cavs (NBA today, pro-sim sliders). I was up by 33 at half, and was outscored by 34 in the second half. Again, A-quality shots stop going in. I think I only keep playing so I can tell myself that I didn't waste 60 bucks....Comment

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
Thanks for the response, but I have tried that, and it just leads to the CPU getting layup after layup. Just missed 15 shots in a row and had the CPU go on a 32-5 run. I'm really only playing to see how I'll lose next...Comment

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
When Kevin Durant (I'm using OKC in MyGM) starts missing more than 3 shots that are all A or A+ and Excellent, you know the CPU is trying to cheese.
I've had runs against me where the CPU just drains EVERYTHING. 3's, lay ups, and mid range shots, you name it. I know it's not because I suck because I am pretty decent but not that bad on defense.
Only way I can win is to just go HAM with Durant instead of focusing on D because I know I won't stop the CPU.
Plus, I seem to get blocked quite often in the post but my players can't block a PG from driving in unless I'm controlling..Comment

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
Ok, guys. I am totally at a loss. I've been playing console b-ball since double dribble on NES, and after a month with this game, I routinely lose by 10-20 points, regardless of difficulty level. Basically, my defense is non existent and I miss 90% of my layups (this one really bothers me). I'm about 5 minutes from tossing the disc in the trash. Any tips?Comment

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
Find a NES, or quit playing basketball video games?
If you cannot play defines, you cannot win games. If you do not share the ball, you cannot win games. If you try to just bulldog your way to the basket, you will not win games. If you just settle for the 3, you will not win games.
I don't see any of the cheesing that the OP was saying. The CPU catches up to me when I'm on cruise control, or not really paying attention, but if I have a solid lead, I can maintain or run it up more, as long as I keep with my game plan and not get distracted/bored.

Re: Next Gen CPU Cheese/Cheating Is Amazing!
I'm routinely thrashed in the paint by the CPU. It would help if it were actually possible to play perimeter defense, but the bigs never seem to control the paint on defense. And all those dribble moves that every single guard uses...sheesh.Comment
