So after the short clips that Steve posted in another thread, I think it's safe to say that there are no new classic teams. Definitely after 1995 Magic at least.

Modders will fix it in like 2 days. My 2K14 has like 200 Teams from 1960 until like the 2012/2013 "Classic-Teams"

As I have stated earlier we should have thought of this idea last October oppose to August of this year in order to give 2k a chance to add new classics. Although I would've been content if 2k did add at least one new classic to this year installment. However as long as Da_Czar is a part of 2k we are in good hands moving forward.

I guess they could potentially still release it as a DLC? That way 2K can still make more money on it and we would have a greater selection of teams. Also 2K can't really justify making classic teams for 2K14 DLC, but they could some new ones?

Hey I am just trying to be optimistic I guess. I just wish someone from 2K would let us know if there were any new ones.

You guys have any idea how this will impact myteam, specifically throwbacks?

Yeah, it's tough to tell what comes across as a fresh idea and what they've already thought of but wish not to pursue. Either way, fleshing out this idea in full post form on August 1 is surely way, way too late for 2K15, even if someone took to the notion. But on the other side of the coin, it's way early (and subsequently, on time) for consideration for NBA 2K16.

In the least, I wished to showcase how many teams could be included without necessitating too many new licenses. However, my giant Detroit bias tells me that the 2004 Pistons would be a very worthy inclusion regardless of whether more licenses had to be acquired or not. If 2K had room to expand in any regard at all, finding a way to get some of the '04 Pistons crew back on board would be a sound choice, in my opinion.

Especially since they already have enough players to make them a matchup team.

with a robust create-a-team (with a great and a robust create-a-player feature I wouldn't mind at all honestly if they didn't add in new retro teams. anybody know if create a team is making a comeback?

May you please update and add the 1988 Bulls and 1988 Pistons to your list if you don't mind?

Done. Also added the 1963 and 1983 Boston Celtics, to account for the confirmation in the MyTeam interview that Tiny Archibald and Bob Cousy are both licensed by 2K.

Yeah they were in the legends showcase too I believe, if not they were for sure hidden CFs on 2k11, 12, 13

Yep, as you said in another thread, with the names mentioned in the interview today, it appears as if they just held on to those licenses since 2K12. It's a shame they couldn't find a way to create a legends pool of some kind in 2K13 and 2K14 to allow gamers to utilize the Showcase legends.

Has it been confirmed if we can make roster saves? Other than just uploading them.. Always a chance roster editing could make a return..

Could you imagine the editing capabilities from 2k12, mixed with this games graphics, animations, ratings, sig skills, etc.. We could really make those classic teams and classic players come to life!

Edit: that's the sole reason I'm considering splurging on a gaming PC

They say that legends like Bernard King, Nate Archibald etc are available for Myteam online mode! Any chance to have them for offline user? ??? i want to play with Bernard King!!!!

I have forgotten which thread it's in now, but I believe I read a post from Leftos the other day saying we can now work on our own rosters offline and save numerous forms, with the ability to upload and share them with others whenever we would like (i.e. seemingly similar to how it used to be).

I think I also read there would be 150 create-a-player slots. Here's hoping the classic teams are editable.
