      Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A

I have a question about shot fatigue.

I understand the reasoning behind it, but it seems rather restrictive and one-dimensional for a player to suddenly miss shots after he has shot x amount of times in a single game. Shouldn't a player's fatigue level affect a player's shot, rather than having a separate factor that determines it? Basketball players go through rigorous conditioning so that such thing as "shooter's fatigue" isn't supposed to affect them as much it should in this game

We're keeping the questions to just gameplay.

hi mike thanks for the feedback
having a blast with the game this year

Just one reflexion which i consider is not a good design gameplay option is the shot off the backboard.Way too much time i hit the backboard or miss my shot on a corner because i have the shot stick facing the basket, i know i can play absolute but i always played relative i feel it's more organic that way when you re playing broadcast
i think the backboard shot should be :
          a/ a button combo
          b/ tied to tendecies

probably won t be modified by patch and i think i m the only one complainig about this but i think this should be change.
          Sorry for my poor english...

I agree with BegBy though. Some plays do seem glitched. I've had to wait in that reticule during one of the floppy plays in the Phoenix Suns playbook for about 5 seconds before things started to "initiate" but when I move out of the reticule it seems to come to a stand still and they go back into their 4 out 1 in positions. Maybe I just moved to far from the reticule on that play.

if you recall the play name let me know and I will test it out could be a bug.

To avoid that move go into a shot or stop pushing the left stick forward when you release turbo.

Mike mentioned earlier about an easter egg during a free throw...I'm guessing this is it?

The passing seems to be broken in this game again. I don't understand why the players pass it to certain players. For example:

Im running down the center of the court with Durant on a fast break. I have a streaking Reggie Jackson coming down on Durant's right side down the sideline with nobody in front of him or anywhere near him. On the left side Ibaka goot ahead and got under the basket but with a defending between him and Durant in good position. Durant has a guy cut him off his head ends of facing right at Jackson. I press pass to just do a little 8 foot pass to Jackson who is wide open to do what he wants. Instead Durant jumps up twist his body to the right and throws a crazy two-handed over head pass down to Ibaka which of course gets knocked away and out of bounds.

This was the final play in the game and my chance to to win the game. I had only had 1.6 secs left. I will save what happened in that final 1.6 secs for another time, it was utterly amazing and disgusting at the same time, i almost threw up in my mouth from what happened in that final 1.6 secs. But back to the point. What is that If Durant just dumps it off to Reggie Jackson he is wide open.

What cause Durant to make that decision? This happens all game long, the player make passes that defy any logic and would get them benched in a heartbeat. They would be investigated for possibly shaving points based on those passes.

Also, the FLOPPING! please make it go away already, its pathetic. I've never seen a NBA game where guys just fall down on their back constantly.

                      Spoiler

It occurs about a dribble or so after I explode out of a stationary dribble or size-up. I'm holding turbo the entire time. My ball control was in the mid to high 80s when I recorded these clips. It still happens with my ball control currently at a 91.
It happens when the dribbler wants to decel from Sprint to non-sprint. It's not working as well as I'd hoped and am in the process of removing it for the patch.

Is this a bug? My player play for 48 minutes.
Is it 12 minutes per quater when I sim a match in MyCareer?

                          1. Walk up animation - Being heavy handed, it's hard to trigger consistently. Is there anything I can do on my end, such as turning down speed etc?

                          2. 5 second inbound violation - is there a reason this isn't called against the AI?

It ruins close games, if I don't have a timeout left and it's not enough time to go for an on ball trap/steal, the objective is force the AI into making a bad pass. As is there is no panic to get the ball inbounds if the inbounder is under pressure, the AI will just calmly wait it out as if it knows it will not be called against them.

                          3. Question for late game situations

Are you guys looking at this for next year

                          * 0.2 on the clock - AI should attempt a lob at the basket for a tip in

*0.4 - AI should attempt a catch and shoot

2.0 - AI star player quick Iso

2.5 or great - Quick play

                          Thanks.

Edit: AI won't recognize a mismatch in the post, allowing for ex. user controlled Dwight Howard to back down Chris Paul with no help at all. Is this being looked at?
Can you answer these for me Mike with the exception of number 1 as I see you answered that one already, Thanks.

Aw. It looks really nice though. Very natural looking that I had to do a double take. Perhaps it can be tweaked and kept in?

I don't double tap B or Circle in my case. I do aim. Its not just me, the guys I'm playing against have the same issue.

Exactly... I'm going to have to bail out of this thread soon. Sorry guys. Great questions though and I'll still try to pop in from time to time. But I got a lot of work to do between the 15 patch and 16.
