That is definitely how the controls are set up, Turbo for dunk attempt, no turbo for layup attempt. Maybe there is a better way to use those controls to make your player do what you want though? I know certain layup types (Euro step I think?) DO use Turbo. Maybe just go into practice mode and play around with the shot stick directions and angles and see what happens?

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
You might want to set your POE setting to manual. Then your coach won't change it up on you.
As to how they work, that's a loaded question that would take way too long to answer. For Get Shooters Open you have to be patient. If you rush your offense you might not be giving your teammates enough time to run your shooters off screens. For the Play Through POE, you should see more play calls for the player you choose. Also if you run your offense through him properly you'll get bonuses to your attributes... many of the POEs work that way.

also…when you say you get "bonuses to your attributes"…what does this entail? does that just mean the player will get hot, or there are more specific ways that the player will get a boost? do these "bonuses" only apply to specific players or can they apply to an entire team as well…like if the team is being used properly the whole team gets a "boost" in a certain area or gets hot overall?
i think there should be a visual way to track these kinds of "boosts" and "bonuses" so that the user really knows how their decisions and strategies are being recognized by the game. maybe a "play quality" meter that goes up and down as you make good use of your team…or a "momentum" meter…or a message that pops up notifying you that you have used a player correctly. there are so many nebulous, mysterious things going on under the hood that the user is shielded from…it would be nice to put all of that stuff on front street so the user really knows how their decisions are affecting the direction of game (not just their shot choices, but their strategy choices and play calling).
also…other than just being a fan and watching a team in real life, how are we supposed to know the "correct way to use a player?" is there something in the game that we can look at that will tell us how each player should be used? if not, maybe their should be something in the game where you can go into a menu or something and see a breakdown of the team's performance in progress where it will tell you positives and negatives of your choices…like there will be a screen that says: "player X needs more outside touches" or "player X is getting cold because he's shooting too many outside shots - get him some inside looks to warm him up." As a user it can be unclear if the game is really noticing things that are this specific and if these things actually affect your success...Last edited by blues rocker; 10-23-2014, 03:13 PM.Comment

NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Is this AI drop off significant, and how does it scale with the difficulty level? Does it also scale with momentum on a run?
While this mechanic is understandable in order to keep the player engaged rather than rewarding him for not playing, it also feels more heavy handed on the higher difficulties-- to the point that sometimes you're fighting against their poor/less effective play than focusing on basketball fundamentals.
Is it possible that we may be able to get sliders to adjust AI defense drop off? Or sliders to adjust the various ways momentum behaves and impacts both teams?
Seeing as both of these are intangibles based on the perception of how game flow should be represented in a video game, and that interpretation depends heavily on taste and one's perception of what's "realistic" (I feel they are much too pronounced when combined with stat boosts on higher difficulties, for example), would it be possible for the dev team to consider sliders for them?
Also, wanted to say that while you may have trimmed some of the "flavor" off the dribble moves for more responsiveness, I didn't notice anything lacking at all. If anything, the dribbling seems to have even more personality, perhaps because they're more responsive, appropriate, and concise, helped by the new animations added.
So for me, it's more flavor, but now with less fat. And this time it's actually true.Last edited by Sundown; 10-23-2014, 03:02 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
When you look at the lack of fouls, are you looking at all kind of fouls or only shooting fouls?
I think it would be very beneficial to the realism to the game, when off-ball fouls would occur more often. In the POE-settings you can pick physical defense as an option. Because of the absence of blocking or holding fouls it has no negatives compared to taking a less physical defensive approach. As i understand it, a physical defense should result in more fouls in general - not only for shooting fouls.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Mike can anything be done to fast breaks? Ex my wings do not run their lanes correctly. A lot of times a guard is pushing the ball but have no lane to pass to bc the other guards are running towards the middle. So it's very difficult to create 3 on 2 breaks. And also what was the logic behind having the pg go to the side everytime to receive outlet. Everytime being key word. ThanksComment

Running plays online...
I recently played someone on MyTeam who would double team me every time I tried to run a play, if I didn't abandon the play and just pass the ball off he would force a jump ball and usually won.
The issue is when running plays you're sometimes required to stand in one spot for quite a long period of time while the play unfolds (particularly with 'floppy' style plays) if you leave the spot you're supposed to be in the play pretty much falls apart.
I don't know what the fix is for this, but it's something that should be looked into imo. Is there a way to speed up the execution of some plays?
Also, any chance we can edit and create our own playbook in MyTeam next year?Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
A couple more questions I just remembered, though I don't know if you're the right person to ask:
1. Why was Rick Barry's free throw animation removed after 2K13? That's always bugged me--especially now that Barry is available in MyTeam.
2. Why are some camera angles (including the one named after YOU) locked out of use in MyCareer?Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Mike is there anyway the automatic fade-away shots can be toned down? When ever someone passes to the corner and tries to shoot a quick three in transition the players automatically fade away from even the three and miss the shot.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Probably too late to ask, but will we ever be able to edit our players shot base independent of the shooting form in MyCareer. I am well aware of the ability to do that outside of the game mode, but it is not currently available to our players in MC. My shot right now is
Form - Kobe Bryant
Base - Kobe Bryant
and there is no way to edit this, in prior games (and outside of MyCareer this year) you had the freedom to change it to something like this
Form - Ben McLemore
Base - Kobe Bryant
There also seems to be a few accessories available to CAP's that are nowhere to be found in MyCareer.Comment

@Beluba Can you please make plays run when you're near the spot and not directly on it.PSN: ForeverVersatile
