Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Hi Beluba thanks for taking the time to answer ALL/MOST of our questions here's mine.
Do you guys plan on patching human A.I. player reaction? It's bad enough living with the CPU draining almost every shot, but when I actually make a defensive stop(steal, block deflection) it ends up right back in the CPU's hands. Why bother having loose balls ...."I'm so lonely....I paid a hobo to spoon with me"Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Beluba, last year we were able to see the boosts given on higher difficulty levels, this year we can't. Could you share what boosts are given for SS and HOF so that we can negate them thru slider work as I did last year. Thanks JW."Most people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them"Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Dear Beluba,
Thanks for taking the time to address our community questions.
- How much of a possibility is there to have the already implemented freelance offenses (and whatever other offenses you can get implemented for 16) available for us in the roster editor section, so we can assign them as default for any coach or team ?
- Can you elaborate on what amount of plays do the AI can run from their selected playbooks on both extremes of the teams run play sliders and what goes/drives their prioritization and selection process ? Can we be granted to have a say on what specific plays/playtypes do the AI run (for 16 and beyond) ?
- Can we expect (for 16 and beyond) an even bigger step toward AI oncourt behavior and signature on a player by player scale, by having players with high or low IQ (directly related to these new ratings) double or not from the weak side, position themselves to have a chance at receiving a clearer pass when a teammate picks his dribble or is doubled (or not), for forcing offensive players dribble with their weak hand (or not), for running plays smoothly (or kind of interfere or get late into their projected spots), creating space (or killing it) and whatnot ?
- Can we integrate the walking the ball up the halfcourt animation to teams tempo ? so uptempo teams are looking not so much to do it and teams with low tempo do it more ? That extra couple of seconds should enhance the distinctness of teams and should even translate into seeing more possesions per game for the uptempo.
- Despite the huge leap on customization this year, can we expect it to be a focus on yearly bases ? Customization/editability/features/options cant be understimated, they allow for each and every user to fit the experience into what they see as right ... as objective as basketball is, there is still plenty of subjectivity.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Hi Mike,
As many have said, thanks for the interaction! Much appreciated.
Could you please clarify as to what you mean by "working on it for the NEXT patch"? Is this the patch that is supposed to be coming shortly or another coming later down the road?
Kinda sucks that a small thing derails gameplay so much
Another Q...... Is there something being done with CPU teams 3 point attempts? It's been widely stated that AI teams don't shoot nearly enough threes.
Most don't even reach 10 attempts per game.
We are currently working on a patch that has a number of game play fixes in it. I don't know when it will be released to the public. But it will be the next one that goes out.
Yes, I'm working with my shots engineer on CPU 3PT attempts. We're getting close to NBA averages but are still tweakingComment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Why not a Hold of the Circle or B button and then click either L1/LB or R1/RB? Telling the screener what side to go to, then we can still hold the screen button for the PnR or a Pick n Pop. It also seems easy to implement.Beavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment

Tap the pick control button and you'll see player icons show up. Press and hold the action button corresponding to the player you want to set the screen and he'll come over instead of the auto selected guy.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Glad you did this again.
2 questions:
1. Are badges in my career earned by use frequency? For example, I'd really like flashy passer and dimer. Should I attempt more flashy passes, specifically? Or just continue to hit the open man with the best available pass?
2. What are your favorite dribble sequences and/or go-to moves?
(On offensive rebounding: others have commented on this here. I thought I read above that you hadn't noticed the issue. If that's true, there is a post Czar created, soliciting feedback on this very issue. I don't want to derail the thread.)

Dimer for sure is earned based on racking up assists. Flashy passer I'm not sure about. Zach would be able to tell you if you tweet him.
Favorite sig size-up would probably either be kyrie's or Jamal Crawford.

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
I noticed that POE changes a lot of times even when I don't tell it to. Example I will change my POE to pick and role and like a minute latter it will change to get shooters open when I check to see what my POE are set to and that is without having POE on auto and having them on manual is that a bug? I noticed that last year to. It gets annoying having to check my POE ever minute and having to change them over and over again to get back to what I was trying to use.
Also how dose POE work? I now you have things like get shooters open and play throw player but no matter what I have them set to I don't noticed a difference at all with the way my guys play or where they are on the court.
You might want to set your POE setting to manual. Then your coach won't change it up on you.
As to how they work, that's a loaded question that would take way too long to answer. For Get Shooters Open you have to be patient. If you rush your offense you might not be giving your teammates enough time to run your shooters off screens. For the Play Through POE, you should see more play calls for the player you choose. Also if you run your offense through him properly you'll get bonuses to your attributes... many of the POEs work that way.

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
there is one question i've been dying to know the answer to since last year when the park was introduced...
this year they're called badges and you must earn them in offline mycareer. do they have any effect on your myplayer, then, in the park (or jordan rec center) online?
Yes. The badges you earn in your offline career are applied to your guy in the Park and rec center.

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Mike,
1. Can you let me know whether the shot stick release for perfect release is tied to some stats or something? I have a problem getting some guys to get a perfect release from 3pt range who are good shooters.
2. Are some guys glitched to be impossible to get perfect released for a reason? I am talking good shooters or guys at least with 80+ 3pt rating.
I have not been able to get a perfect release from 3pt range with Diaw, Green and Mills. It will be right on the meter but early or right on the meter and late never perfect. I was in the practice mode HOF sim and I just couldn't get it. I am talking 15 minutes each. If it is me let me know, but if it is not can it be patched.
Parker HOF Sim yes perfect release 3pt
Bellini HoF Sim yes perfect release 3pt
Bonner HOF Sim yes perfect release 3pt
Duncan yes Sim yes perfect release mid, fadeaway
Leonard yes Sim yes perfect release 3pt
Ginobli yes Sim yes perfect release 3pt
Diaw NO
Mills NO
Green NO
3. I have also found some guys to be very very easy to get perfect releases at least in practice mode like Kobe.
It's possible there's a bug there but there is a minimum threshold you have to get above before perfect releases are even achievable. Maybe the players you're struggling with just can't get a high enough % making the perfect window impossible to hit? Doesn't seem right though. Let me investigate that one.
