I wish they add a taunting dribbling animation like in 2k7. It was so much fun in 2k7 online when you know you have a huge lead or the game is close, and you want to be cocky about it and start dribbling slowly with that slow funky dribbling animation lol....why did they take that away...it was so cool to see it in the game. When i am doing it...then my opponent is also doing it the next time they have possession of the ball in close game. It was just a way for us to express ourselves on the court and that animation allowed us to do that. Anyway, i thought it was cool...it wouldn't hurt the gameplay or anything if you added it. They still have to get pass the midcourt within the timeframe.

Hi Mike, thank you for answering questions.

My biggest gripe with the game is the cpu substitution patterns. They are basically doing mass line changes each time they sub. Also, I'm constantly seeing the CPU sub out his starting lineup or star players and bringing in his 2nd unit for end of halves and games.

Ex: Playing the Cavs the other day and the Cavs took out their entire starting lineup with 2:30 to go in a tie game in the 4th quarter.

Any chance this can be patched?

I think that this is due in large part to their not being enough fouls, therefore not enough stoppages in play. Therefore, the majority of your team is tired at the same time.

The only time you can really make substitutions is if you (or the CPU) calls a timeout. Even if a ball goes out of bounds and you have players ready to come in, they still don't let you sub them. Maybe that is something that can be fixed, as well?

Good point and I've seen the ball going out of bounds but not allowing subs. I think this would help fix the issue of the cpu taking a timeout midway through each quarter.

Game is soooooo good, at least for me it is, but this issue or two is really killing the experience for me.

Just a thought but maybe you can tie the side the pick comes from based on which hand the ball handler is drilling with...

Dribbling ball in your left hand causes the pick man to set the pick on the right side and/or vice versa

Why not just a quick double tap and hold with the b button in addition to the single tap and hold, with the option to assign which side the pick will be set with a single or double b button tap?

How about hold r1 and tap square to pick right and hold L1 and tap square to pick left side. This will be easy to remember and easy to execute as well.

Or bizzare situations happen where the referee holds the ball for 30 seconds, gives it to the cpu player to inbound and then the team immediately calls a timeout.

Also, will anything ever be done to "call off" an intentional foul? There have been many situations when I've been trying to call a timeout on the defensive end while my opponent is inbounding the ball, only to realize that I can't call one and all of a sudden all my players go towards the inbounder and get into "intentional foul mode"

This is super annoying, if you press L1 and R1 once, then press it again, it should nullify this. There should be a way to cancel a intentional foul call, especially in these situations.

Also, can anything be done to fix the responsiveness of the alley oops buttons? I constantly find myself shooting a jumper when I press the alley oops button combo with the Square button on the ps4. This is very frustrating.

And the alley oops button combo with the Triangle button never produces an alley oop, and it is also not responsive, because it puts me into "post up" mode half the time when I try to use that combination.
I've seen this and I think it's tied to commentary. Basically, during those pauses, the commentary is set in an extended fixed topic where, if gameplay were to interrupt it, would create a disconnect with in game commentary.

Either the previous commentary stream would be interrupted awkwardly or it could continue bizarrely while something notable was happening on the court.

Still, I don't remember this being as much of an issue last year, so maybe its fixable. While they're bloviating, though, making me wait to resume the game, it does get annoying, I agree.

I can't even call intentional foul online. I press and hold L1 + R1. I keep doing it and still they wouldn't do it. This is for Online Rank Match. This is the 2nd times i loss down by 1pt and my CPU would not do intentional foul. Do you have to select the guy guarding the ball handler in order to make it work? It doesn't make sense.

I thought the instructions said "hold x" to intentionally foul..albeit in the reach in foul variety and not the wrap around foul variety. I'll test rb+lb when I get home to see if it works.

Really? Well i tested offline...i hold L1+R1 and it work. For some reason, online doesn't work. I don't know about hold x.

Can anything be done to make floaters more responsive? Half the time you go for one, the game thinks that you wanted to go for a layup or a euro step, sometimes the magical dirk fadeaway that every player is equipped with.

Down on the right thumbstick should automatically produce a floater the moment you enter the paint, I shouldn't have to press the button and hope that a floater comes out and not some layup.

I'm curious, how many people are playing with wireless controllers and have you tried playing wired? The only significant lag I've seen throughout development was related to my ps4 controller's bluetooth connection.

I don't know if it's called input lag or what, but the delay in player actions is definitely real. Whether my controller is 100% charged, or playing wired.

As soon as a tap the stick to do a crossover, it'll take a split second before the player starts the motion. Same can be said for pretty much every movement. I'm majorly bummed if you guys don't think it's an issue.

Do me a favor. While playing a game, just stand outside the 3 point line with your guy and do the pump fake by tapping the button. Keep doing it and pay close attention. They pump it after the button is pressed. They should be going into the motion at the same time the button is tapped. It's like that when jumping for blocked shots as well.

And when controlling the ball-handler, as soon as you press the sticks, they should do the motion you're attempting to do. I understand you wanna make them feel like they have weight to them, but they're freak athletes. They can perform moves on the drop of a dime.

Anyways, again, thanks a ton for replying.
