Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
so now that they have dropped patch number three are they gonna go COMPLETELY hush on this issue now?... as long as it took for the X1 patch to drop, the patch to address this should be submitted next week you'd think... a full month later. they are KILLING our gaming cycles. -
Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Well I believe that the whole Xbox One patch delay might have an affect on whether we get another patch or not. I sure hope i'm wrong. I sure feel bad for those who had to wait longer, but it happens sometimes. 2K wasn't the first dev that had this problem. Lets just hope they don't give up now though.so now that they have dropped patch number three are they gonna go COMPLETELY hush on this issue now?... as long as it took for the X1 patch to drop, the patch to address this should be submitted next week you'd think... a full month later. they are KILLING our gaming cycles.Last edited by JRxPHANTOM; 12-23-2014, 01:44 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Lower chemistry difficulty, morale difficulty, and morale effects to 0 and raise chemistry effects to 100. It not too much of a difference, but at least you will see players have another point or 2 from the chemistry being so high. At least it saves you time from having to fully adjust every player who regressed to match what he would have normally regressed to in previous 2K games.Comment

@sabig Yeah, it takes place in the offseason so if you only plan on playing one season you should be good.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Wouldn't this impact everyone equally though? My issue with regression (from what I understand of it since I don't have the game) is that all players at 28 regress about the same vs. some regressing a lot, a little, staying ur same, or even improving in limited circumstances. I don't have a problem with players regressing even during their "prime" years, I just don't like how uniform everything seems. Regression and progression should be organic and have some unpredictability, otherwise it's isn't realistic IMO.Lower chemistry difficulty, morale difficulty, and morale effects to 0 and raise chemistry effects to 100. Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
No you're mistaken. Players as low as 25 regress not 28. 28 just has a more frequent regression phase. Pat Beverley is the perfect example. He regresses from your first offseason and onward and not just by 1 point. I've seen him lose 4 points multiple times in just the first offseason. The issue is just that the regression overtakes the whole league after a few years. The previous 2K games did a great and satisfactory job with progression and regression. This year, the regression isn't balanced and highly predicable on who is going to regress that current year. It's normally the same players, but there are some rare cases. But that's not the point. The point is regression hits too fast, and I don't mean that they regress at an early age or in their "prime". The problem is there are too many points taken away each year. This was likely due to a bug or even more likely due to the poor testing done by 2K in the regression area. Either way it's a hassle to deal with, but we have no choice, just workarounds for now until we get an idea if 2K will respond on fixing the issue or leave it hanging.Wouldn't this impact everyone equally though? Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Am I missing something here? I'm not seeing what you guys are seeing I'm seeing players in their 30's go up. K. Bryant only went down 1. A. Stoudamire down 2. Nowitski down 1 and he's 37. D. Williams up 2 and he's 31. D. West no change he's 35. T. Duncan down 1 he's 39Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
I'm not seeing too much regression either, when I get to the off-season it just looks like everyone has progressed a point or 2?...even older players!Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
So, what is the consensus fellas? Don't have the game or I would sim for myself. Is there a definite issue or are results varied? Is the issue when using custom rosters/draft classes vs others who use official 2k rosters? The fact that there has been no response from 2k is a tad annoying considering there are many saying progression is flawed. It would be nice if someone from 2k would confirm an issue exists or better explain their rationale for why the system is working the way it currently does.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Lol he has "The cure!"
Dude I said it before and people got mad in here, and I'll say it again, people get their panties in a bunch when they see their favorite players overall drop a few points. l I'm not saying it's a non-issue, but I am saying this has been insanely overblown with people saying it makes Myleague and Mygm "unplayable" etc. I think it could be toned down a bit, but the original statement that everyone drops like 5 points a year after the age of 28 is utter BS. Happy Gaming. So, what is the consensus fellas? Don't have the game or I would sim for myself. Is there a definite issue or are results varied? Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Yeah man, I think you and Aqua both are looking at the overalls of the players as soon as you hit the offseason. That was what I also did initially and was shocked that anyone considered it an issue because I mostly saw people not dropping at all.
In all actuality however, the issue takes place once following the free agency period when you go through the "player progression" task. That is where everyone's overall points drop so much. And it's not the stars that are the problems. It's the players a tier below them. I know that this has been done numerous times but I just want to reiterate. Below is a list of some of the players over 28 at the player progression screen.
Lebron James - 97(0)
Chris Paul - 88(-2)
Rajon Rondo - 84(-3)
Kobe Bryant - 83(-4)
Dwayne Wade - 82(-3)
LaMarcus Aldridge - 81(-2)
Roy Hibbert - 76(-4)
Kyle Lowry - 75(-4)
Paul Millsap 74(-5)
Luol Deng - 75(-4)
Jeff Green - 73(-5)
Courtney Lee - 74(-4)
Taj Gibson - 71(-4)
Omer Asik - 70(-5)
J.R. Smith 70(-5)
Tiaggo Splitter - 70(-4)
Kevin Martin - 69(-7)
Martell Webster - 67(-5)
Andrea Bargani - 67(-4)
Jason Thompson - 65(-5)
Marcus Thornton - 66(-5)
From looking at the players above, I think it is fair to say that the stars/superstars are regressing at a reasonable rate. I think that most people don't have a problem with the way the big time players regress. I think the bigger issue is that the NBA is full of quality starters/role players that are over the age of 28 but when they decrease 4 and 5 points each year on a CONSISTENT BASIS, they simply disappear.Last edited by CWSapp757; 12-24-2014, 11:56 AM.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

If you guys Notice the TREND, it is the Guys who SPEND a TON of time Breaking Down and Editing the Game that SEE the ISSUE. Casual guys who DONT Edit or Make a COMPLETE Roster Edit in a WEEK(LOL), dont see the issue and that is fine. This Thread was made for guys who Spend ALOT of time trying to get the game to play properly. IF you dont see an ISSUE, STOP CLOGGING up Thread. I made it for Potential FIXES to be posted and talked about.Last edited by vtcrb; 12-25-2014, 11:10 PM.NBA 2k18 Roster:
