If this is true, I'm going to talk to Steve and Mil and think hard about what we do here. I'm hesitant to call anyone a liar but here are the facts:

Monday 12/8: Patch released on PS4. People are complaining about the missing shoe bug. 2k Marketing confirms the patch is still coming for PC and X1.

Wednesday 12/10: Patch released on PC. More reports of the shoe bug.

Thursday 12/11: LD says he is going to check with MS about the X1. Silent about the international PS4 patch.

Friday 12/12: No update from 2k Marketing except for a twitter post from LD stating that MS said the patch could drop "maybe by the end of the week". 2k UK marketing says the patch was submitted that day for international users.

Monday 12/15: Still no update from 2k marketing on OS but Ronnie and LD state on their twitter pages that they are "still waiting on MS".

Tuesday 12/16: LD states on OS that the patch is still being tested by MS but allegedly states during the livestream that the patch had been resent to MS.

Here is my issue: It appears that from the facts that 2k Marketing knew that there was an issue with the patch last week and that it would be needed to be resubmitted and misled everyone about it.

At this point its just the principal. Over the past week, I've been playing WWE, UFC, Fifa and Madden w/ GTA and Forza Horizon on deck. I havent played NBA 2k in over a week.

With that said, I dont like when I'm or other OSers are lied to or mislead by people affiliated with a game company. People come to OS because this forum gives them the opportunity to interact with game company staff which is something that not alot of forums offer. Because of that access, we take steps to protect game company staff from attacks, insults and abuse.

But we dont allow staff to mislead our members and as I said yesterday, I'm not a fan of a one sided relationship. You cant use OS to hype your games/features and then disappear when there are major issues with the game.

Some of you may not know this but our relationship with 2k developers has nothing to do with 2k marketing AT ALL. Beluba used to be on the OS Staff. Rob Jones has been a lurker on OS for years. You guys already know about Da Czar and Mike Stauffer who were Osers before they were 2k employees. Those guys understand the relationship. They answer what they can and if they say they are going to give us an answer or keep us informed....they do. No lies. No sarcastic comments. Just straight up answers.

This whole situation just leaves me with a bad taste. Its not my call but I think we should reconsider how much access and protection we give game company PR/Marketing. If anyone else had done what 2k marketing has done, we would consider that trolling.

You Sir are 10000% correct. And i am in the same boat i just CANT bring myself to even play the game knowing that long list of things is wrong with the game . Just ads to my frustration to even try so i havent touched it since the ps4 patch dropped either

Amen a thousand times. I NEVER liked how they came to the threads and blew up the forums with their marketing but when people became upset after they paid their money, they would disappear. I also did not like the protection they were given as mentioned. People are paying their money for their product so if you are going to use this forum to help your sales, use this same forum to address issues. Some people do go overboard with comments because they are upset but I've seen LEGITIMATE complaints shut down. There are still issues in 2k15 that was in this game since 2k12 on last gen. This is the only game that cheats to the point it makes you want to throw your controller. But this run and hide tactic is really weak.

Every I say to myself that I have to forget about this game and about the patch and I don't know why but I keep coming back, it's becoming like a drug I need my daily dosis of 2k patch drama :-(

If I understood well, the final verdict is that the patch was rejected by MS and Sony EU/International because of a shoe glitch? That sounds illogical to me as I have the impression that consoles patches are tested by MS and Sony because they may cause hardware issues and damage the console.
A Sony/MS QA guy will not waste hundreds of hours to see if a patch causes new bugs in the game.

My question is after we receive the patch (hopefully before christmas) and we are all back to normal, how do we take it from here? How do we approach all new patch announcements or updates from here on out?

I figure only a memory leak or hard system crashing bugs would hold it back from them. But every company has a different standard when it comes to Quality Control. Maybe Microsoft learned their lessons from Vista and the metro screen

I call BS on the patch being submitted to MS. And if it was submitted, there must be some code in the patch that is buggy. Which wouldn't surprise me coming from 2K.

I hear running plays is further bugged now with the icons not appearing more often and problems opening the playbook even when the game first starts. One step forward and two steps back. Pick and Roll passing is NOT fixed as per post patch footage among other issues.

I really want the patch to come out soon its been too long. But i really hope they do something about the accessories in 2k. For too long we have had these problema where the arm sleeves and headbands etc. Are different shades from the ones our teamates wear. And not being able to change our jerseys in mycareer is an issue that is way past due. I really wish they would fix these issues. I know it takes alot to make a video game but at the same time the problems we all have in 2k shouldnt be hard to fix.
