Ok, first of all the dude said the guy hit 11 threes on him...that's not "rewarding bad play" that's not knowing wtf you are doing on defense...learn to play on-ball defense...cmon people.

I understand your point, if you let a player score 11 treys on 5 min qtr you must be doing something wrong. But I'm talking about the little experience I have online, in the end it comes down to who knows to exploit the game better and learning how to stop them.

And on the CPU, you like everyone else in this thread are complaining about basic concepts that can easily be altered by sliders...How are you going to say your teammates aren't as aware as the CPU when there are 2 sets of awareness sliders? If the CPU is too aware, turn their's down...if your defenders aren't aware enough...turn yours up...If that's not working, then turn the difficulty down...is there still a "comeback code" on Rookie? lol I just don't understand how THAT can be used as evidence to a "comeback code..."

The way I see it, the "comebacks" online result from a lack of skill (and people thinking they are better than they really are) and the "comeback code" offline is just a result of laziness and people feeling like they shouldn't have to tweak sliders...If only there was a section on operation sports...a collection of sorts of sliders developed by people who are dedicated to making the game more realistic....Oh wait.

I play on SS and most of the time I have good matches, but I'll admit that I've experienced some of the BS that some people are complaining here. I'll admit that I've always felt that all-star is the most balanced difficulty.

As for sliders, I've tried your set and they are pretty good, the game feels different, but they are made for realistic 12 min quarters, and lately I don't have time to spend a full hour on a single game. So I decided to stick with default 2k sliders.

In the end it's up to us if we keep playing this game, I'm willing to live with the flaws of this game, because there are more pros than cons. But sometimes we have to express ourselves about things we don't like, there's no need to start attacking each other. If we are going to complain, we need to do it in a passive way and show evidence (videos) about it. And for the other side, there's no need to judge other people ability at the game. Let's make this a constructive thread.

This is why online will never be "sim" in my eyes. There is not an online "competitive" game that is not exploitation vs stopping the exploit.

You can't adjust sliders online. There are indefensible, super cheesy moves that can't be defended. Somebody abusing these with no basketball IQ can win games. Somebody abusing these with basketball IQ will win almost every game. This is especially evident in MyTeam, where lots of people construct teams in a way to have the cheesiest lineup possible.



They just released a dunkers pack made of 10 players that all have 99 dunking, speed, (lat) quickness, vertical. This includes Blake Griffin, Shawn Kemp, and Darryl Dawkins, making them the 3 best big men in the game.



There are also other players like buffed versions of Steph Curry that are simply indefensible. They will sprint along the 3 point line for 24s until they get an open look and make it with high percentage. Doesn't help to put prime Gary Payton or Artest on those guys, on or off-ball. People win like this without even calling for a single PnR the entire game, let alone something more complicated. The guys who know to call a 4-1, put 4 3 point shooters on the floor and do this with some patience WILL get an open look on almost every possession. And this is only the most obvious, easiest to learn form of cheese.

I get that 2K can be cheesy online but I don't think it's unrealistic if a guy using steph curry dominates you. Have you seen what Steph does to people in the league. What should every player be the same rating? With same badges? It's not like you said I got dominated by Luke Ridnour.

I'm hearing a lot of a guy killed me with Curry, CP3, LBJ, KD, Blake. Hey guys just in case you don't watch the NBA those are 5 of the of probably the 8 best players in the world if you give them a window which I guarantee you do those guys can kill you like they kill people in real life. You have to make it your priority to shut them down.

In real life Steph Curry is unguardable he can pull up from wherever and he has a handle to get by anyone he wants and he's a great playmaker so him killing you online is not even remotely unrealistic. What really happened is your guy had a great player and used him to exploit you. Maybe you played good D but great offense beats that and I know for a fact not every shot he took would be contested so he probably got a few easy shots that either got him going or kept him in a rhythm I can go to YouTube and search up dozens of plays of Curry doing something that you guys would all say was cheesy, but he does it in real life, so unless the real league is cheesy and has codes that make guys play certain ways I'd say stop bitching when you lose a game because the best shooter of all time outplays you.

Steph Curry is not an elite player in MyTeam if he's used in a sim way. As in, not one of the 50 best cards in the game, both by ratings and how he plays. A buffed up 97 OVR KD is not good enough to even make my bench, that's how good teams and players are. Maybe you must've played MyTeam or park to understand how bad the zig-zag is. But everybody playing the game mode knows that it's unguardable, sadly most players abuse it.

I'm not upset in the slightest about losing a game. I'm upset that playing in a way that requires 0 basketball IQ is a great strategy and nearly unguardable, even if you put the greatest defenders of all time with 99s in every relevant stat on him. You will not find plays of the real Steph running around in circles around the 3-point line until he gets an inch of space. It looks completely ridiculous. Or LeBron doesn't post-up, disengage-turbo to the basket 20 times in a row either. These things are neither possible nor effective in real life, but they're easy strategies to learn and implement in this game.

About to play Portland v Memphis 6 min Ss, default sliders.. Will post back after game, and upload if I see some bs during the game

Edit:soooo I've just finished the game, I was Portland and surprisingly most of the bs that happened in the game was in my favor. After being down by 8 in the 1st, we managed to tie the game before half, and we lead most of the second half. Gasol had a monster game managing to score 29-7 on me, but Aldridge and Lillard combined for 31-7-6.

Now what I did notice is the impact a hot player have in the game, Lillard got a steal in the first possession of the 3rd, and assisted with a fancy pass, and suddenly he was hot and boosted.. I managed to score two quick buckets and a couple of assists before Green drawed a foul on him, and he returned to normal mode. Also, I'm still seeing a lack of defensive awareness on my teammates, I had to change players a lot in order to stop plays.

Steph Curry is not an elite player in MyTeam if he's used in a sim way. As in, not one of the 50 best cards in the game, both by ratings and how he plays. Playing MYTeam with everyone being a 99 and then being shocked when 99's are tough to guard is absurd. Good offense always beats good defense in the NBA so being shocked when guys all rated over 90 score a bunch of points is pretty dumb.

I agree, it's stupid. What's worse is that if you play someone from a different seed, they will have a different difficulty. So if you're in the first seed which I believe is on SS you can play someone from the 5th which is on Pro, maybe all-star. Suddenly you have players rated in the 70s and 80s dunking all over several all-time superstars consistently.

Friendlies are also set on a low difficulty, you can't even choose.

Shady Mike your an offline guy who's scared to play humans so you hide offline with your custom sliders. Play a human and I guarantee you'll have complaints after you get beat down. We can play if you want so we can question where your skill level is. You'd probably run those fake sets aka money plays all game.

Well, since things were going in my way, I didn't had much time to get angry and take notes on weird plays. But I remember a couple of things.

After Lillard got hot, I made an inside pass that went through my defender's chest and then the ball teleported to Aldridge hand. My players didn't missed shots, CJ McCollum was Jordan mode and dropped a couple of contested daggers to put the game out of reach.

I'll admit that my comeback happened after I adjusted my defense, because it seems that the "Auto" setting doesn't do anything to counter my opponent strategy.

First Please find where I ripped online because I lost, because the video posted was a win. I only ever rant about the casualness and cheesy things, not just flat out losing.

Second comeback doesn't always mean comeback and win neither did I or anyone else say that.

And yes I don't think offline players are as good as the online players or players who play actual humans on a regular basis.

It's not a logical point. I'm not complaining about anybody making tough shots. You keep putting weight on one minor point that doesn't contribute to this discussion. I was replying to someone, saying that there are ways to cheese that are simply unstoppable and have nothing to do with basketball. You keep talking about Steph Curry making tough shots.

I also don't believe in a comeback code. I replied to someone saying "either you need to fix sliders, or you play online and you're too bad to defend". But there's a third possibility, you play online against someone who has mastered the cheese. Such people are not beatable playing sim, especially in a mode like MyTeam where you can construct your team in a way to cater towards cheesy styles. I'm not blaming comeback code for anything and I fully believe that the devs are honest with us and doing their best. But it's also ridiculous to say that the game is perfect and blame everything on the user, like some people in this thread do. Mostly people who don't play online a lot, so they don't see certain aspects of the game.
