Re: 2K Holding Back Gameplay Footage because of Huge Leap?
After what i just seen from the live camp today i hope they holding out to drop some fire for real. The way things are going i havent seen a beef this real since Jay Z and Nas back in the day. Live is dropping all the features everybody been asking for and then some, so somebody is listening in they camp and paying attention. They coming with that takeover mindstate right now (pun intended). So naturally i think 2k is holding out on the K.O. punch to see what the competition coming with so they can blow them out the frame.
tbe even with what im seeing between the two i think 2k still got the illest gameplay, live look a little choppy to me so that still gives 2k the edge but the features.............oh the features. Combine the both of them games and you got the perfect basketball sim.Its a perfect time to be a basketball gamer right now.We getting a majority of what we asking for and if one game aint doing it the other one is taking notes. This is what i think 2K needed to make the best game they could, and ultimately what EA was running from when they bought out the NFL rights.....SOME DAMN COMPETITION!!!!!!
I like when companies battle for my 60 bucks?Comment

Oh no they gon get ethered. This is EA we talking about. They could find a shortcut in a cardboard box. Looks pretty but from what Ive experienced with EA is that its a lot of smoke and mirrors with them so I'm counting on 2K to be the victor. Watching them fight for my money and being able to say "this what this games been missing" is the best part of this. I'm predicting I'm gonna end up getting 2k and letting live impress me again next year. Especially when I heard you can't edit players or stats today.

2K holding back gameplay footage because of a huge presentation leap. Preferably a professional broadcasts leap such as TNT or NBATV. But we shall see if they don't end up revealing the core of the gameplay by September 25th!

Re: 2K Holding Back Gameplay Footage because of Huge Leap?
I think that 2k has dramatically changed the Gameplay mechanics for 2k16. At this time of the year, we would have seen more gameplay. This I believe is based on the snippets that we have seen , Mike Wang's comments on the 2kTV video about a new player moment system , and the fact that they aren't even showing us anything. Also I have noticed that player movement looks different (more fluid) then any Nba 2k game in history, and thats based on the little that we have seen.
I think they are hiding something MAJOR about gameplay.
What are ya'lls thoughts?

Carry on, gents.I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Re: 2K Holding Back Gameplay Footage because of Huge Leap?
Hated 2k4 with a passion
That's when they moved Rob Jones off the project and tried to make it arcade
It almost ended the series. That game IMO set them back a couple of years
Also the same year they listened to that idiot from IGN and said basketball games don't need plays so they axed them.
It was however one of the most glorious times for us because NBA Inside Drive was out there with Mike Wang on the team at Microsoft/High Voltage
They had the plays tendencies, player awareness.. it was glorious.Last edited by 23; 08-15-2015, 02:00 PM.Comment

The defense was even more relevant then, than it is in the game now.
