They definitely aren't holding it back because of a huge leap, they're the type to keep giving us the same stuff every year with new rookies and just fix the things that could've been patched for the previous years title.

Money hungry company that forces micro transactions down our throats to build our MyPlayers and MyTeams.

I'm the type of guy to play OA with my friends so the fact that they knowingly put out 2k15 with the broken mode that won't even register games when you finish really irks me. 2k16 hasn't even changed graphically, they could've touched up the lighting or something so it doesn't look like the same game. They'll have a new scoreboard and knowing them Steve Kerr is still doing commentary they probably just added some lines where he can talk about himself in 3rd person whenever the warriors are on the floor

Hated 2k4 with a passion

That's when they moved Rob Jones off the project and tried to make it arcade

It almost ended the series. That game IMO set them back a couple of years

Also the same year they listened to that idiot from IGN and said basketball games don't need plays so they axed them.

Man, that explains so much about why I was getting less than 120 points per game in 2K3 (my first 2K game), then suddenly getting around 160 per game in 2K4 and 2K5.

(Also because I knew nothing about how pro basketball was supposed to be played at the time. I was an idiot cheeser back then.)

...And wooow, that bolded line infuriates me. I forgot about that review. Man, IGN never got much better than that, did they? (Well, aside from them putting out that PSA telling people NOT to buy Final Fantasy: All The Bravest for iPad. I admit, that was pretty cool, alerting us to not fall for a money-grab.)

They actually did get a bit better when they started using a basketball oriented person to do the reviews and removed that hilary guy. I believe they had competition by then because there was a guy on espn that used to give us a great review can't remember his name at the moment.

I ain't mad NOW because that basically Durkee da czar to do what he does so we got something out of it in the end.

2k wasn't the most popular so they tried to compete with ea but ea had the animations slicker movement and arcade style basketball down pat. Funny because 2k4 even had ball trails in that game. 2k4 was a hit with some casuals because of the Iverson cover with espn.

Can't recall if that's where the 24/7 mode started or if it was with 2k5 but either way that next year is when they actually started using commercials to advertise or to advertise at all.

Anyway still waiting. Its getting tiring with old teasers and slow schedule dates. Hate coming into the 2k stream on Tuesdays only to watch ld and Ronnie jabber about nothing at all because they can't or don't want to talk about anything yet.

They did say the next big news though would be my league

True.. and this year the game comes also earlier so i hope after the next clip from Anthony Davis this week we get finally something big . I was so hyped with pro am but now i'm little down . We are just 14 days away from september so i think they should start with some news and gameplay very soon !!

I don't see what's at risk by releasing something for the fans.....some sort of trailer or snippet of gameplay..... or even speeding up the release of information.


I just don't see what harm it could do.

They release a trailer or something, everyone explodes with happiness.

The ratings and screen requests typically follow all the trailers and are on approach to release. So it seems this year they have just SKIPPED trailers, big news announcements etc. and jumped right to ratings and screens.


And we won't even get ratings and screens of players like Kobe, Lebron, KD, Paul etc. More like Whiteside, Diaw, Lopez etc. etc. (you know what I mean).....


It irks me because I am buying the game. I know I'm buying the game. I just want to know more about what I'm buying by now...... and 2K know we're buying it.....they just LOVE building hype, anxiety and then making announcements and watching us squirm...... and I don't want to hear that it's the same every year. Because that's also crap..... it's a basketball game. News should start flowing in JULY! Damn!!

Yep, i can't say it better .. but the good thing is .. Every year they GOT us with the new features and gameplay so i hope it will happen again this year. I don't know how difficult it is to make a basketball game but i think it's every time a challenge to bring the game to the next level ..

Nah, if we get something in say a weeks time and it's a vid in the form of a TV presentation before tip off and it's completely TNT presented (as 2Ks way of announcing TNT licensing) then all will be forgiven..... haha!


And then Czar will start with his business and all of a sudden 2K are the "golden husband" being treated like it's his birthday haha.....


I mention the TNT thing as it's somewhat on topic.

I think it's worse because basketball's over. Football's just now starting...nothing to look forward to really in the summer for me at least...I just want my basketball fix.

If they released like a teaser during the Finals with some gameplay, then in July they did these screenshots and little clips, and in August they started showing gameplay and features of modes...I'd be okay.
