This makes NO sense at all. I would have thought your opinion of 2K15 was formed WELL before preordering for 2K16 began. And I don't recall you not complaining about something, so why would you have pre-ordered 16 in the first place?

It does when you constantly complain about it. Look, the worst marketing is no marketing. And why is that? Because no one is talking about the product. If you want to send a message, don't talk about the game. If this message board was empty, THEN you'd get some information. At least in theory. [emoji4]

I get that some people on here are hyped for the next 2k and dont like the negative energy and that's fine. But asking for gameplay 3 weeks before a game comes out doesn't make you entitled. I don't care how much marketing has changed. If the competition was heavier 2k's marketing would be further along. Hell if 2k16 ratings/sales don't live up to expectations things will be much different.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in the last two weeks have they dropped any significant information. I've been playing Madden

The way I worded it didn't make sense but I pre-ordered the game even though I wasn't enjoying the current game. 2K15 is not fun to me. Win or loss, I rarely have fun. MyCareer has an annoying and repetitive story and I hate having to pull off 40/20/10 statlines just to have a chance of winning even on a team with LeBron, Kyrie and Love. MyPark/Rec is nothing but 7 footers, games in the rec are nothing but pull-up 3s. I'm not a fan of the slow, laggy animation fests called Online quick matches. MyTeam was what kept me playing because I wanted to beat RTTP for the first time ever. I couldn't even get past the 4th seed until I started picking up some of the cheesy tactics from my opponents. When I finally get a good game in any mode it's usually ruined by server issues or I get screwed over by a bug. (X/Square button being unresponsive after spinning out of a bump animation in the final seconds of the game)

They haven't showed me that the gameplay has improved yet. They hinted at the new attribute system will limit cheese but what happens a month into the game when you go against Pro-Am squads with max height SFs with 99 overalls? What happens when people have God Squads in MyTeam? Is the cheese going to be unlocked again?

Why is 2K getting killed for cheese? It's literally in every single sports game out there. In Madden it's supposedly the deep pass/aggressive catch, in MLB it's bunting and high fastballs, in FIFA it's long balls and sprinting up the wings, and NHL it's the passes in front of the net for a quick one-timer that's an auto goal or constantly poke checking. There are always exploits in a game and people will use them to win.

The deep pass in Madden this year is horrible. But I don't believe they're just going to leave it like that. Unlike 2k which has patch 4 zigzag, 7'2 monsters, and numerous Myteam bugs, and they basically said who cares on to 2k16

Why should people just settle for that? I dont understand why you're saying that 2k is being singled out while posting on a forum dedicated to talking about 2k. Go to a FIFA or Madden forum and they will be complaining about cheese too.

Will there always be exploitable tactics? Maybe.

Do they have to exist unnerfed for an entire year? Definitely not.

At least make the cheesers be a little more creative and have to keep coming up with new ways.

Re: 2K16 Marketing Affect On You

That vid was funny about the talking about the scanned teeth lmaoooooo. I just find the marketing to be bizarre thats all. I wish for a great game just like the next person. I am just stating that as a consumer that has supported 2k since 2k9 I find it odd that the release of information has been vanishing year by year. No Youtubers flown out to hype the game, no insights, no gamescon crappy smartphone gameplay, no media or magazine articles, no Rob Jones, no nothing... I understand that when you are in first position you can afford to withhold information etc.

I think 2k is engaging in read and react marketing. The competition released a trailer talking about my player customization and low and behold 2k releases a trailer about tattoo customization. Coincidence or not? One has to wonder.

I can think of several instances where companies rested on their laurels only to find that the competition was more hungry. I remember when EA had the top sports game before 2k came and took the mantle. Live has been fighting tooth and nail for marketshare since. The marketing of years past caused water cooler talk at my job, me sending information to my friends etc. This year I have not been able to send anything... I have not been enticed yet to go and grab my preorder yet. Just keeping it 100.

One week, ProAm. Couple of weeks later, a massive MyLeague online write up and a podcast following it up. Next, the Winning trailer. Now, something this week. It's been a steady slow build up. I'm sure very little of it had to do with Live considering these sorts of things are planned months in advance. If anything stalled it, it was the leaks.

Wanting info doesn't make you entitled... it's when people feel they "deserve" info, then it becomes entitlement.

If the game was free perhaps but its not. If you ask for money the consumer has the right to ask what their paying for. That's just business
