Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
The Converse Weapons are in the game, but just for Magic, Bird and a few more legends who are assigned to Converse. Just go to their edit player screen and modify the shoes by colorway. There's about 5 colorways including Magics purple/gold and Bird's black/white. There's 3 total Converse models (Weapons, Chucks & Dr. J's).Comment

Na brother. Dead serious I'm afraid.
)
That's really too bad because they did so much GREAT work on the legends this year. I was shocked Rodman looked as he good when I played against the Bulls. Kerr also looked great. And so did Kukoc. It was actually hard to tell them apart from the modern scanned players. I was extremely surprised and was wondering if it was some placebo effect due to the new lighting. No, they were remodeled and some of them look better than they ever had, including in 2K11 and 12.
But it's sadly they didn't even touch Jordan when improvements could have been made, and actually seemed to have taken things away from him.
The game itself plays smooth. I like the updated legend cyberfaces, they're great but I'm not fond of the new in game interfaces, nor the dribble system. I played pretty much 7 -8 hours last night in total and just couldn't help wanting the old style size ups back. Dribbles don't feel unique anymore, to me anyway. Couple that with the well discussed Nash being gone, and the Sixers now out, it just felt like there were too many negatives for me to get over.
Like I said, totally get guys think this stuff is trivial, can see that a mile away, but folk like what they like - I just feel the game has taken steps in a different direction and it's not one I'm too keen on.
Shame really, game felt like it had massive potential.-----------------------------------------

No disrespect to you at all, you know what you want. But I guess we should have seen it coming. Classic teams are not the main focus anymore, they're there just because they're there. But they're not getting the same treatment like 5-6 years ago (other than improving some faces).
1992 Dream Team would have been BIG several years ago, now it was just one of the first features to be advertised, which have almost been forgotten by now. That's the way it is.
I hope you can still find ways to enjoy this new game, you paid a lot of money for it. I personally don't buy these games new any more. I actually never bought 2K16, though I wanted to. It's not a priority at this point, as video games have to wait now. I usually only buy one new game for full price a year. Thinking about it, I don't think I bought any last year, and haven't bought any this year yet either. I'm also not that hooked on NBA 2K games any more. I will buy it down the road when it's considered an older game by then.
I so want to buy Mafia 3, but, again, I don't think I will buy it brand new for full price. Priorities...priorities...My Specs:

I'll look to offload 2k17 next week and keep hold of 2k16, that should keep me happy until next year - see what 2k18 brings.......
Hope you guys all enjoy the game this year!-----------------------------------------

I'd never want that, but definitely feel like I got my money's worth even if I don't love 2k anymore

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
nah, they have to be assigned Converse already, can't select Converse manually, which is surprising since they not only including 3 models but many different colorways for each model. You would think we could select Converse manually. Also, if they are already assigned Converse, you can't change to another brand, so the player is locked into Converse. I know its something about contracts with the NBA but Converse is owned by Nike so not sure why that matters. Atleast we can create new shoes this year and assigned them...Comment

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
Can you edit the colorway of the Converse though? Like could I fix the Converse Weapons that Magic and Bird are wearing? Because they are incorrect.Comment

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
I feel you, and have lost a lot of desire for 2k games past few years as they've changed a lot gameplay, modes, and as a company. However, $60 really isn't that much for these things, when you consider how many things cost $60.. these things could easily go for close to $100 with how much content is in them.
I'd never want that, but definitely feel like I got my money's worth even if I don't love 2k anymore
That's just fine, I love going to EB Games (Gamestop for you) and get some older used games. I got LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption not too long ago for $10 or $15.
Anyway, I love buying older games I have never played. Before buying, I love researching about older games - watching all the trailers, reading developer diaries, watching some gameplay. It's like the game is brand new again and I'm about to buy it.Last edited by youvalss; 09-17-2016, 01:10 PM.My Specs:
