Sucks that this does not work again and I would think that it is not just a issue with the way ps4 is made because some other games like mlb the show have highlights and a game of mlb the show can take a long time. Also I would have to think it is something that could be patched because again mlb did. Mlb 15 when it came out didn't have highlights but then a patch added them. So if they could add it in a patch I don't know why 2k couldn't. With that said this is the 3erd year in a row like that this has been a problem so I don't see this being fixed this year if it was not fixed when the game came out and it looks like it was not.

10 minutes or 12 minutes?



I'll test it tonight. Closing out just the game but not the PS4 right? Because turning the PS4 on and off seems like it would wreak havoc on the system.

Let me get this straight... For 9,10,11,12 minute games on the PS4. I need to play game one, watch end of quarter highlights, watch halftime highlights, watch end of game highlights. Then save your progress. Then exit the entire game (shut down NBA 2k16). Keep the PS4 on, then start up NBA2k16 again, play game and I should get end of quarter highlights, halftime highlights, and end of game highlights for 9,10,11, and especially 12 minute quarters.

Rinse and repeat....??

But what if you're not getting end of game highlights on 12 minute quarters ever? Because even with my first game ever, I never got end of game highlights.

That correct just close the game, don't need to restart the system, not sure about 12 minutes have not played a 12 minute game so far, i usually do 8

I honesty played 2K15 the entire year thinking they just removed halftime highlights from the game

There weren't any halftime highlights for 2k15.

Watching this trailer, I was expecting highlights to be present including the player of the game.

I think all highlights are kinda borked after a while. I am noticing less and less, in game highlights overall as time goes on.

There must be some way they can get it to work.I am not that fussed about seeing every replay for every player so maybe there's a way to place a restriction on what type and how many replay's are saved.

Also, how come the replays just disappear and why doesn't it just use the replay's that are already saved,that would be better than nothing.(sorry if this has already been answered,haven't had a chance to read the whole thread yet.)

I also played 10mins,halftime highlights worked,no post game highlights.

12 min quarters seems to get me all quarter highlights except for end of game.

Was really odd to see the crew talking about Barbosa and just freeze framing on his stats for the entire time especially when you know presentation in real life would show video.

I rarely have time to play more than one game at a time so the reset workaround is fine. Just disappointing that I won't get to see Jordan player of the game highlights.

The workaround for end of game highlights is after halftime save and exit the game. Then start the game again. This resets the highlight cache.

The downside is you wont have any highlights from the first half but you will have highlights from the second. This worked for 2k15 as well.

Guys, as mentioned earlier, it is NOT about the length of quarters, its about the amount of highlights... you also can play 6 minute quarters, if the score is to high then at a certain point the game disables highlights...

I will definitely give that a test run tomorrow afternoon. If this works, at least the silver lining is that I'm getting a real halftime experience--I can take a real break.

Question to programmers: How difficult would it be for developers to program a "reset the highlight (or game memory) cache" that triggers automatically?

Yes, I think we all came across your post. Definitely informative, but the issue is that we're mostly (or all) playing lengthy quarters (10 to 12 minutes). So even if what you're saying is true, it's not going to help with those playing 10 to 12 minute quarters. We're simply trying to find a work around for the time being.

Playing 10 to 12 minute quarters is naturally going to have a lot of highlights. The more important question would be, how do we stop getting too many highlights for 10-12 minute quarters, preferably 12 minute quarters? Why doesn't 2k simply purge the first half highlights at the start of the 3rd quarter?

I want to see all of them. I feel like that's not asking for much.

Its not asking for too much at all. The only silver lining is that you get to see the first half highlights at halftime.
