Gotcha, was just making sure. Yes, it was stated in the patch notes and while not perfect, was definitely improved upon. A lot of the guys in the PNO thread feel the same.

Hopefully XBO users get the patch soon and can see for themselves.

note: in one game, i dropped once, as i was stubborn and didnt change direction when i saw a defender infront. my cpu opponent .... haha .... dropped 3 times. guess who? carmelo anthony!

as much as i enjoy their turnovers, the silly ball drop animations should tone down. what do u guys think?

Seriously though, it's better but I don't think this is getting "fixed" until 2K17. Right now it looks like the best they can do is put a band-aid on a gunshot wound.

Other than the third, that's more CPU awareness, long pass accuracy than a trans d issue IMO

I only played for a short time as I have been grinding for the Thanksgiving herd coming in but your assessment and my early assessment looks true so far. The worst to bad analogy is looking true. Transition defense fundamental problem I address in original post seems to be still there. Also the "man crush" on ball handler from offball defenders in transition and half court is still bad . I will go into detail next week but needless to say this will have to be a 2k17 fix it seems. The transition defense and offball defender awareness will have to be addressed because the offense is on another level which makes the defense look even worst and we all know the Da Czar will only continue to perfect so they got some serious work to iron out defensively or its going to become even more unbalanced

we really have to play 5 players now instead of onball. prepatch mostly the bigs are slow in transition def. now post patch, even the wings are losing their guys!

Maybe my XB1 perception is skewed, but when playing against CPU, CPU's defense gets back more quickly than human-controlled defenses. Especially around the paint. Granted CPU allow yous to shoot longer jumpers in transitions, but you have to make them.

is this how it should be? played against the cpu spurs last night in myleague. KL, the best perimeter defender, was guarding KD from start until midway in the second half cpu switched to Parker or Mills. I started abusing the mismatch by running plays, not back him down at the post bcos this would attract double team. i think he was exhausted to finish the game. managed to beat the spurs.

anytime i beat the elite teams it feels great man. but i want cpu to guard my KD with the best defender, not the shorter Parker.

Im surprised this hasn't got more talk yet. Any elite defender automatically switches on to the point guard early on.

Even if I say my matchups, it seems to break off and send me sf on the point guard and then everyone's all jumbled so I have to go to matchups and line everybody up again.

Quite annoying, typical 2k adding something really dumb for no reason.

So the problem for some offline gamers are that too many possessions are based upon the computer ai defensively doing something stupid to cause it versus my skill or computer skill. And once that happens some offline gamers become frustrated. "

Not entirely sure I understand your question.....I play offline too though....And feel the same way.....

I play on SS/Sim, so if your experience is that the AI defense is so porous that you can't be adequately defended, then much respect to you....I can't even dominate on that level like that.

Is defense on this game a perfect representation of NBA rotations, positioning, etc.... nope....haven't run into a game that is- so If that's your gripe- cool, I'd agree...at that point it's a matter of what you can stomach I guess..

Defense hasn't been an issue for me though, if just hasn't- I feel as strongly about that as some feel it's completely broken, and that's fine. It's honestly a part of the game I enjoy.

I do sympathize with MC guys though, I can imagine not being able to control everyone adds a completely different element to the frustration....which is probably why I don't really play the mode that much...
