Still no good here, and I CAN confirm that I received an in-game update tonight (not a patch, I'm assuming it's just rosters). Every time I start a Play Now game with the official roster, be it User vs CPU or CPU vs CPU, the setting is always Manual on the two double team options. Further, using the restart/rematch function resets the setting back to manual as well, even after I change it to auto myself.

I don't know what's going on here....

So....maybe it's certain individual teams being set to auto then? What teams were you using when you first saw this?

So I'm guessing this change was only on the PC, not the PS4 or XBOX1? I hope 2K corrects this pretty soon, gets annoying having to pause every quick game to go in and change settings for the user and cpu. Its a shame because changing this and changing CPU playcalling to AUTO has improved the gameplay in my opinion.

I am pretty certain that changing the CPU offense play calling to auto does not affect anything at all. I've experimented a lot with it back and forth. The double team fix has been huge tho. Pretty much saved the game for me

I think the easiest way to test it is to play vs Spurs. Their offense should be the easiest to recognize. Jus a thought

I usually keep both on AUTO...I will test them during the weekend and report....

I fixed this and was playing pretty well with Curry but mainly killing the Clippers with his passing ability, yet in the 3rd they started doubling me basically once I got over half court and I ended up torching them right up until the clutch with passes to Klay, Harrison Barnes, Iggy etc.

I thought they said the CPU was going to be smarter?

I know that but it was absurd. Sadly I didn't record the game or anything, but it was literally DeAndre or Blake totally abandoning their man and doubling. Not a lot of rotation from the other defenders either. I got off at least ten passes straight into Bogut for a dunk.

In real life they wouldn't just gift baskets like that.

I think the auto double team works best with good sliders or playing on superstar/sim. Just from my experience with it. Without sliders on all star the defense gives up way too many open shots. To any team not just the Warriors but with some sliders I grabbed here on OS the defense is great!! Almost too great haha but I like the challenge. Same for superstar/sim. I hate that I can't play MyGM tho, I've had my experience with it so I might just do MyGM & hope it gets patched soon. That or do a short myleague season

From my experience it really depends from game to game....I had some games CPU was terrific in shutting me down some other don't....some games I won some games I lost becouse CPU was smart....
In general Teams which are great @ defense IRL are pretty hard to beat IF they start to double you....last night I was Cle vs Phila....Phila did try to double or help on Lebron......but no results.....

Overall I love Double = AUTO experience

And I prefer them to double me all day long...than having a game without any double on my star player (Double = MANUAL)

Yeah I'll definitely have to see what it's like after more games.

But yeah that game I just played was a lot like my 2K15 experiences with the Clippers. I'd hit a few threes with CP3, tear apart a defence with his passing, have about 20 points, 10 assists and the CPU would relentlessly double.

It makes sense for a guy like Mudiay or Okafor who aren't equipped to handle a double team yet, but rarely do you see any coaches have their defences constantly doubling the likes of Curry or CP3. They're just way too good for that. They might mix it up and throw the occasional double.

But this was literally almost like playing on rookie for a quarter.
