Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
Should one be using a higher difficulty level for the VC multiplier? I like that Pro (I think) has a 1.0 multiplier which, to me, means I get what the game thinks I earned for my efforts.
Seems to reward you more for less on higher difficulty (only tried All Star) too. An example would be a practice I had where I lost drills etc yet still filled the "Doin work" bar. On Pro I'd win and not fill it. In game, good things boosted my grade and bad things dropped it. On All Star I didn't seem to be penalized as much for bad things like shot selection and turnovers.
Am I wrong?

From my experience the higher difficulties should reward you more, while penalizing your teammate grade is solely dependent on your play. Competing in any drill during practice should increase your doin work bar, regardless of difficulty. You can actually view the sliders for each difficulty by viewing gameplay options from the home screen

Just had my best game against the Cavs on Superstar difficulty. Team played very good this time. I had 10 assists in the 1st. I played very careful, no turnovers. Then in the 4th, double team three times back to back and all three times I'm losing the ball somehow and of course they score every time. Game felt so good up to this point. Why do they have to ruin everything? Why 2k? Tune down with the double team nonsense damn it.
Edit: holy crap I had to play the Cavs back to back and in the second game at home I killed them by 40 points! 120-80 lol This game man...Last edited by meccs; 11-20-2016, 03:27 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
Mycareer has gotten boring lately so I decided to sim every season and see how my career progresses. Earlier in my career I was on the lakers and requested a trade back to the celtics (team that drafted me). I was traded for the #1 pick at the time and future first round pick. Well now in my 8th year, I'm back on the lakers and our lineup is crazy. D'angelo is an 88 ovr with 18 badges, Ingram is an 89 ovr with 16 badges, Spencer Warren (the #1 pick) is a 92 ovr (!!) with 11 badges. And then there's me at Center, 95 ovr with 27 badges.
I'm averaging 30.2 pts, 20.9 rebounds, 8.7 assists, 1.6 stls, 4.3 blks for my career thus far. Already in the top 100 all time of scoring and my guy is only 25. Also Lebron is now the all time leading scorer in points. thus far I've won 7 MVPS, 4 titles, and 7 DPOYs. Curious to see if they force you to retire once you hit 40 or if your stats decline as wellComment

I'm torn. When I played player lock before I'd turn all that stuff to auto as if I was a player and the 5 guys on the court just executed what coach called.

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
JUST got my first quadruple double for the 2k17 career.. 29 pts 16 boards 10 assists.. plus 10 turnovers as the game tried to balance out our 16 point lead over Toronto going INTO the 4th quarter .. I'd catch the ball .. and run out of bounds.. twice.. catch the ball in the paint and get it ripped.. a couple of times also.. a couple ally-oop attempts to Justice that failed..nothing we all haven't seen before
They got the lead down to 2 in the quarter but we ended up winning by 9.
First all star voting and my 6'6 SF is only 8th in the west front court with 21.9 9.6 boards and 5.6 assists 87 OVR thanks to a bunch of pro-am walk on VC wins, though I'm still just a rookie 1 in ParkView Through My Lens sports photography

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
This is MyCareer PS4. See how I get turned around suddenly and walk backwards when the CPU starts his layup animation? I did not let go of the left stick and didn't hit any buttons. This happens whenever the CPU makes a critical pass or goes for dunks/layups or in general when his animations take a longer time. During this time you basically slow down or get pulled away. That is what makes the game feel so sluggish at times. I don't know what is causing this but it is a major issue!

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
The game, and by that I mean 2K, thinks it's fun on Superstar to send me to the bench when I'm fighting my *** off to stay 4 points in front and then I'm suddenly 12 points behind.
The game also thinks it's totally fine on All-Star to send me to the bench when I'm 4 points in front only to come back and leading by 21.
Wtf is wrong with this game? What nutcase thinks this is ok and people want that? And speaking of fun. I'm in the playoffs and have 3 practices between games. This grind is the most ******** nonsense I have ever seen. I load into practice, sprint for silver and then fall off the barrel two times to get the bar full. I then have to load out and back in again two times to get to the two following practices to do the same **** again! WTF?!
I'm so close to just going back to 2K16.Last edited by meccs; 11-22-2016, 05:12 PM.Comment
