cant see the point creating another myplayer, put my 100k vc bonus from legend gold edition into my current one, **** grinding for 100s of hours to get another player up it aint worth the time. shame i made a 6'0 shot creator pg with max wingspan i didnt really think it through, seems like midget arms reign supreme in every way. all i can do is steal the ball a little more.

These threads so often degenerate into haggling over semantics between people who want to argue every little thing, or worse, simple mudslinging.

I'm out, so good luck -- hope the petition works.
Agreed, and yet I was told by this poster a few pages back to not insult someone who used to same tone towards me.

This thread has gone way downhill, and a poster who originally had a brilliant post has become unbearable to read.

I'll keep my eye on the petition but I'm out of here.

Is it really that serious for a petition for a game? I would rather have petitions for real world issues not a videogame. I'm just saying. No disrespect

I'm a lurker and rarely post but had to on this.

You come across very bad in your posts. Even someone who agrees with your petition you had to come back with an aggressive post.

Not everyone has to agree with your VC stance and people can post dissenting opinions.

I do not force anyone to agree with me. So could you please tell me what is aggressive or insulting about claiming something is a blatant falsehood? I honestly do not get it. I actually said blatantly false claims since the original poster argued and claimed that the removal of VC like the petition asks for would lead to casual players not being able to compete anymore and therefore ruin the game for them. That's untrue. Am I not allowed to say so?

I said his claims are uninformed because that was his only argument and he clearly stated he didn't understand what it was all about and that VC isn't bad. So personally I consider this to be uninformed. He had plainly not read the petition or even parts of it and plainly not read any of the prior discussion.

What would you call someone like that? What would you say to someone who barges into a discussion you have with several other people, claims you suggested or said something you didn't and then goes on to say "It doesn't matter, I don't get it anyway, but i'm against it nontheless".

If that was rude I'm sorry. I'm German and that's not rude in Germany that is considered a normal and actually fairly unemotional response to such behaviour.

Seriously, you have been the most arrogant pretentious know it all on this topic. You apparently don't agree with anything being said, but you sit here all day every day giving arrogant responses to everyone, regardless of whether they are talking to you or not.

          Give it a rest.
x_NBA_x was not in any way aggressive or insulting towards you. He simply kept repeating his arguments again and again over and over which is fair enough and his right but at least you knew he read the thread since he had been contributing from the beginning. You asked someone to remove his head out of his behind and called him arrogant and pretentious. I called someone uninformed and claiming blatant falsehoods. Now I'm not getting into a comparison here with you but I do not think that me asking you to net let the issue become personal was in any way out of order in that regard.

If my behaviour was perceived as threatening, insulting, violent or however else offensive I am very sorry. I didn't mean it to be. I'm a very direct and matter of fact person and maybe it can come across as such. I wasn't aware of that so I will try and change that.

It would be nice if we could get back to the thread now. If you felt insulted by me in any way I'm sorry and you can send me a PM and we can discuss it there as I feel it starts to derail the thread.

Can't ask for much more than this. And as a language teacher, I can attest that there ARE huge cultural differences in vocabulary usage/phrasing. In Mexican Sp. at a restaurant you can order by saying, literally, "To me you are going to give xyz," which would come off as rude or entitled in Eng. Saying "Can I please have xyz" would come off as weirdly submissive. That's just how these things work.

So, all good, and petition signed, and good work, Saxongirl.

Mods, is there any way to get the petitioned stickied or to move the link to a new thread entitled "VC Petition, Read and Sign if You Agree" or something like that? The link is buried in this thread and people who would sign it probably won't take the time to find it.

There's another level other than "just don't play" and "that much emotion." I think the VC grab has ruined MyCareer for LOTS of players, so if someone else takes the time to draft a petition, I'll sign it.

People all over OS lament that posters moan and cry and do nothing else, so at least we have somebody doing something that we moaners and criers who are too lazy to do anything can get behind.

If we were picketing in the streets, you'd have a point.

But this is the internet, it takes like 5 seconds to "sign" a petition. People trying to make the game better for everyone, hard to talk sh*t on someone who wants to make the game more fun.

Fun is subjective a lot of guys may find it more fun to buy some vc and straight to the park. Not talking sh*t about it I just thinks it's laughable that guys get this worked up

To play pro am we are forced to participate in it. to play park we are forced to participate in it. Playing the game with other players online you have to deal with the ones that bought VC. So you either grind your butt off or buy it yourself.

VC has changed MyCareer for the worse with each iteration. Last year you only had to buy nba player and legend dribble moves, this year all dribble moves are locked behind VC. Prices for tattoos have risen as well. Also before VC your player started out in the mid 60s and could actually come off the bench and contribute right away. now you start as a 55 and you are a total scrub.

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words

Yes, the VC issue has gotten ridiculous. Now almost everything needs VC, some things more than others. As MyCareer player, it gets on my nerves how almost everything now is VC-related. Advanced movements that costs 250-500 VC, that you are "forced" to buy because the basic movements are so painfully slow and bad that they aren't good enough for perimeter players (especially PGs), even in MyCareer. Well, I could go on and on, but you guys probably already know.

They've made it more VC-related, they raised the prices and lowered the of amount of VC they give you when you play. If this was a free-to-play game, I wouldn't have a problem, but this a 60 $/€ triple-A game, and people can end up spending 10x that amount if they play MyCarrer, MyPark/Proam and Myteam.

It's quite clear that they make much more money with VC than with the regular game sales, but NBA 2K isn't the only one. FIFA or Madden (as other sports games) or Call of Duty are prime examples. Greed can be very dangerous, and the videogame industry has gotten very greedy lately, with NBA 2K and its VC issue just another example.

I never claimed that my rights were being violated, but your own stance is "laughable" if you think that consumer feedback can't lead to change. So no, not buying the game isn't the only way to "hurt them."

I'm not "emotional" at all over this. If VC invades MyGM next year, I'm out. No big deal.

And if you think this stance is "laughable," don't comment. It's borderline against TOS the way you're softly insulting people in this thread.

And for your claim that change will never happen...

Who would have thought, years ago, that devs would be on OS addressing issues instead of hiding from them? Or that "community leaders" would have ins with devs to act as liaisons with the community at large? It's a FACT that consumer feedback like that on OS helps devs decide what to work on in future versions.

And like I said before, I'm certainly not that invested in it to do the legwork myself, but if someone like Saxongirl is, then why WOULDN'T anyone disgusted with this year's implementation of VC sign it?

No emotion here, just simple cool logic.

I don't play any of the online stuff, only GM (and MyCareer if it wasn't VC's to death), but I think the word "forced" is too much. I HATE the VC grind this year, but you're literally not being "forced" to do anything.

On your side, just to be clear!
