Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
Without buying any VC you can still play the BEST GM/Franchise mode in all of sports gaming and play now games complete with historic teams. VC is only an issue in My Career. And in My Career it's really not an issue. The "grind" to get to a high level player is not nearly as much as it first appears.
I'mkinda surprised this is still an issue really. I enjoyed reading the other perspectives listed on this thread - I just can't agree.Comment

Signed.
The more people sign, the better.
I think it should be in its own thread, so that others can find it more easily, rather than buried under a mountain of posts.Comment

There you go. Like I said guys... don't just sign. If you have Facebook: share it. If you have twitter: post it. You can also twitter it to youtube reviewers and players you follow and like or to twitter and social media accounts of 2k developers. Go for it.Last edited by Saxongirl; 09-27-2016, 11:34 AM.Comment

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
Hmmmm... Will not sign this... I don't exactly understand what people want the outcome to be.
If it's skill based (ie I average 50 PPG, thus I must be the best player in the league) I will be a 99 overall in a couple days.
Remove VC completely?
- If this is the case, now someone who has a family and etc etc that can only play a couple park games a day, has no chance to ever really get a decent character.
I like the fact that they capped people at an 86, and required a practice grind after that, I've already seen people that aren't willing to go to those practices to upgrade their guy, leaving them stuck a an 86 online, and allowing the people who want to grind to a 99 alone.

If VC is removed from MyCareer it will bother no one because you will have a higher overall to start with and since it's a single player mode nobody rushes you to get good. You can play the game as often as you like and improve decently depending on how much time you spend on the game.
If VC is used only for cosmetic stuff in MyPark it will effect no one either because the only way to get good in the park will be to actually play there to earn upgrades and skill boosts which means no one can buy there way to 86 or 95 and no, grinding for upgrades isn't hard or time consuming... but grinding for the VC to buy them is.
VC is also used for MyGM where it has no place at all, for ProAM where it has no place at all either and has been used to put animations, clothes and other cosmetic items that were free to use in previous editions of the game behind a paywall.
Fair enough that you won't sign but please inform yourself before you make such blatantly false claims.Comment

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
All NBA players and big review sites give the game high marks because they look at different aspects, they don't care about how much the in-game currency costs or what you can/cannot buy, like a headband which doesn't effect the gameplay at all. Again, the board only care about their numbers for profits and to appease the shareholders(if that's what they do have) so until that is the case, they won't budge.. Read more into how bad EA really are to get a better understanding of what I mean..
'Think every 2K player will sign it' - That'd be assuming that every 2K player watches this semi-Youtuber. Again I commend you and I will of course sign it for the cause, please don't think I'm against it, I'm just putting real world scenarios and how gaming companies work to what is being done on here as I don't want to see people waste their time and effort for something to not come to fruition.
Good luck and hopefully something comes from it.
If enough people complain - they might listen or their sales might suffer. Somebody has to say something, while major sites continue to give 9/10.
Most of the popular reviewers focus on the College storyline of MyCareer, which tells me they barely played. 2k is so deep, you have to spend a lot of time on it before you can review and they clearly did not.Comment

If they either separate attributes and accessories to using different forms of currency, raise the amount of VC you earn per game, or lower the prices of things like headbands and t-shirts to a more reasonable cost, I'd be happy. 100VC is plenty for a sleeve, not 1000VC for each color you might want it in.Comment

I understand all of the stuff you're saying, but I think you're forgetting the power of the internet.

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
Add VC to your favorite game and see how it destroys it. Add VC to Zelda:
- Beat the same dungeon 50 times to earn a Master Sword (or pay $20 and get enough Rupees to buy it now).
- Kill the same monster 10,000 times to earn enough rupees to level up your guy (or buy Rupees for $50).
Imagine if every time you opened Link's inventory there was a "Purchase Rupees" button?
The grind exists for one reason: Money.
It doesn't make the game more fun. If you didn't have VC, they could think of FUN ways to make you level up instead of grinding ones. Grinding was put in to sell you VC, not because they couldn't think of entertaining ways for you to progress.Comment

And your tone is getting insulting and aggressive. You do know that not EVERYONE has to agree with you, right? (I do, by the way.)
These threads so often degenerate into haggling over semantics between people who want to argue every little thing, or worse, simple mudslinging.
I'm out, so good luck -- hope the petition works.Comment

You've got my support, Saxongirl, but THIS is distinction without a difference (or however that goes).

How am I insulting or aggressive. I simply said that a post that was as shallow as it gets (obviously the poster didn't bother to read any of the prior discussion or the petition itself) and claimed blatant falsehoods. Is it aggressive or insulting to point out that his claims are false and uninformed? I was the one who not two pages ago called someone out for calling another poster arrogant and aloof so please do not read something into my posts that is not there.Comment

"Blatant falsehoods"
"Claims are uninformed"
"do not read something into my posts that is not there"
I'm a lurker and rarely post but had to on this.
You come across very bad in your posts. Even someone who agrees with your petition you had to come back with an aggressive post.
Not everyone has to agree with your VC stance and people can post dissenting opinions.
