Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
In 2k14 it cost about 180-200kvc to have a genuine 99ovr. It costs more than that now + dribble moves etc for a genuine 81.Comment

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
2K isn't doing anything wrong with the VC and upgrades and overall ratings.
There are many games out there that push the consumer into spending more.
That's fine by me. What's not fine is the fact that 2K deceived us with these overall ratings. I know some people are going to say, "Isn't this common knowledge now?". Yes it is, but what it says on the label is what allows you to make your case. If sellers could say, 'You should've known better" for everything, then idk, maybe it'd suck.
I get 2K wants us to grind for VC, but don't make it so the VC isn't actually giving us the expected effect (a 95 overall). Instead, tell us we're getting an 80 overall and come clean. That's all I want.
Another thing is the badges. Tell us it's effects. I've seen that lab website floating around testing the effects...but really 2K? Is it something so bad you need to cover it up?
Surely not, so be transparent about it. That's all I ask.Comment

To me there are many things not okay with what's happening rn but my main thing about the OVR is the price. I wouldn't care if I was a 80 even if they didn't say if I didn't have to pay twice as much for it now. To get to an 80 this years plus animations is roughly ~150k and up depending what animations you buy. Not only that but now that 150k VC that used to be 60-70$ is now more like 150$. Why is that? It doesn't take anything for them to give VC so t not like it's them balancing the price for the work it takes to create the VC. Before 40$ would get you a actual 99 with clothes animations whatever you wanted, now 40$ of VC might get you out of that brown shirt and maybe let you pick up a Sig animation or two, but it definitely won't get you to an 80.
And whatever they are doing with MyTeam rn is just unbelievable. Yes grinding is a pet of any game but making the grind so hard that it is literally impossible to make much progress by just playing the game unless you are a home security guard ( you don't leave your house...ever.) is insane. A Box this year (a basic one because we know damn well we can't afford them theme ones) cost either ~150 hours of playing MTO (and that's IF you are making the max per game every game) or you do a 8 hour shift at walmart or something and get the box and have some money left over. That is not a good business model at all.

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
I am genuinely upset that sponsorships now give 100 VC. Like seriously there is zero legit reason they dropped it from the 2-7k you could get down to 100 like this is just.... On a lighter note it's now really funny when my agent talk about how much money I'm getting from them, like oh yeah Bruce I'm really raking in the dough rn maybe after the next 5 events I'll be able to afford a knee pad

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
Not the small time ones like the Bistro or whatever those small ones are called.
And then with patch 1.06, those same endorsements are giving ~200 vc now, even less sometimes.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
The big time companies like doing an endorsement for 2k, Jordan, Mitchell & Ness, Spalding etc used to give 2k-4k vc for every event.

Unfortunately, this is true, it just adds up to the overall jokeComment

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
I haven't had a chance to play post patch 1.06....but if this is accurate I give up on mycareer. The endorsements made those repetitive practices that pay ZERO VC tolerable at least. If those incentives are gone what's the point in signing the endorsement? The fact that a 1st round pick has to pay a 6 game salary for 1 pair of shoes just blows my mind...

And now apparently the face of Jordan, Nike, or whoever you singed with doesn't get paid enough by them to even buy shirt from the store or a pair of socks

Re: The VC issue - perfectly put in words
The MC endorsements is a message to us "buy VC" if you want to play decently our broken game. No thanks.Comment
