You still can't compare 2K to the real NBA though. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson aren't getting assisted by badges that are increasing shot percentages. They don't have hall of fame badges that are supposed to make them better shooters than other archetypes.
And yes, you have valid points. If I did want a more complete player I probably would have made a playmaker/point forward type. But my role on my team has always been to be a lights out shooter. I can't do that throwing up a 50/50 shot everytime. At the moment I don't see any reason to be a sharpshooter, everyone else on my team hits the same amount of shots when left wide open in the corner. I can easily find other ways to contribute but it still wouldn't be as effective as other archetypes. I didn't create a sharpshooter and invest money and time into upgrading him to be the best that he can when a lockdown defender with bronze shooting badges can shoot at the same percentages as me.
That's more than lights out and Curry would kill to be 50% from 3.
It seems the problem isn't your shooting percentages but those of other builds, which should top out at the high 30's. Or mid to low 30's for a defensive build.
No one should be shooting over 50, much less 60 from 3 in any game that resembles NBA any form of basketball.Comment

A 50/50 shot from three is better than the greatest shooter that's ever lived who actually does have a hall of fame badge.

One again thank you Mike for this patch ,now you can play strategic defense vs cpu and online(park is perfext now)
Now grand badge make sense.

Just shoot 7/8 from 3pt in the park you can still be beast if you know how toplay but now scrubs are scrubs.

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.Comment

Can we turn down those closeout touch fouls? It's hard enough to close out on the perimeter with the shaky AI rotations and poor lateral response for user defense. When the user makes an effort to get out to a 3point shooter he's getting penalized with 3-point FTs/4-point play opportunities too often.Comment

Patch is good but deeping more there are some important things still need fix:
1º Big hole in the center of the paint. Teammates on MC still needs better defense.
2º Too much shootings fouls.
3º Too much steals. (Some of them in the paint because the defender is in front of the AI so it's steal or easy basket but he is not covering well)

Why dont people let the gameplay be what it is? If u want change go offline and edit ur sliders. Dont go online, get manhandled and cry for a change on the forums.

I personally feel - and some others as well - that chasedown badge doesn't seem to have much effect. Especially because the fouls are so high despite defensive stats (lockdown defender here). Some fouls are way too dumb and should not happen to higher rated defensive players. If there is a draw foul stat. There should be an avoid foul stat too. Because right now I'm not seeing the difference in fouling despite higher defensive stats (I didn't buy vc so I've played from scratch - haven't seen a major difference). Would love if we higher defensive rated would get less dumb foul animations. Although I understand we should still obviously get them too. But there needs to be a skill difference between lockdown and others. Overall I just see foul animations that are unrealistic. Too bashful.

Obviously Beluba saw the issue, because, for the most part, he was able to correct it. I'd still love the POE patch, so we can slow the pace down, because teams still move down the court way too fast.
All I want is for players/teams to play to their ratings.Comment

Shooting fouls. In real NBA around 20-25 FT per game. Sometimes i have between 30-40.
I have defensive assist at 0 already but thanks for the tips.
