A lot of ppl have been going max weight and height and Iv seen no real downfall to it so far

I'm 6' 11" 273 pounds and i literally can't guard max height and weight post scorers. Im getting backed down with ease and most play in the paint so my speed advantage means nothing until I can get my midrange up to deadly efficiency

I went pure post and have been doing pretty good so far, and I didn't even buy VC lol

yeah. 7'3s are going to be real hard to guard in 2s and 3s if that post scorer knows what he's doing. The only way to defend those guys if you aren't at a similar height is to have a pure Rim Protector(That vertical and blocking is very very necessary).

In Pro Am you can run them out the gym.

I'm still trying to decide myself whether to go with a Shotcreator/Postscorer or ShotCreator/Defender.

That defensive stopper badge seems crucial this year. Especially on Centers IMO.

It's just, if you make a pure Rim Protector prepare to be worse than Ben Wallace on offense.

Do you mean that those 5 gold are not predetermined by your archetype, but you can choose which ones upgrade (e.g. making a lot of assist if you want to upagrade dimer)?

They are predetermined.

Post scorers are nice this year .

I played some team in proam with all 85s..my matchup was a pure lockdown.
So my guys a 6'10 SC/finisher and I was bullying him, 63 overall.
He was only 6'7 and idk his weight but literally the only way he scored was off cherry picking. I was standing so far back off him daring him to shoot and he was like 2 for 10 at one point.

Basically what I'm getting at is use your build for what it's meant for..because he was trying to score with me and it wasn't pretty.

I was lied to, so I made a Playmaking/Slasher 6'5 PG and I saw videos on YouTube showing that specific archetype would be able to get atleast level 4 contact dunk packages...but when I go to buy it say only available for SF, PF and C smh no way I might have em to rethink this type of player

I think level 4 is only big man packages. So like if you had a 6'10 point forward/slasher u could get them. 1-3 is for guards as best I understand it.

I assume u r SF? Talk me into remaking my player and going 6'10 too.

I thought long and hard but decided to go 6'8 235 pounds.

I'm primary creator secondary finisher.

Either would do although it should be a SG if you're going for 100% accuracy. If it was me I'd run the 1; don't want to be stuck guarding some of the 6'7/6'8 SG's around, especially considering height is a big factor in 2k's.

It all depends on your style...

I'm a big at heart so I catch myself inside banging a lot..so being 6'10 250 helps me board and box out. I get a lot of offensive boards just by cutting and using my secondary archetype.

Plus you can do drop steps and post hooks on smaller 3s.

I played a couple games where they had me in at the 4 and I can take bigs outside or still be okay down low against them.

Speed wasn't too bad either...and I obviously haven't really upgraded it much yet..so I assume when it's higher it won't be an issue.
