I tried going this route, but I didn't go that far, I just equipped the most basic dunks.

And if you do this...you are doing yourself a disservice as a slasher. Once I equipped player dunk packages and all that, he had a lot more animations and was just much more explosive. Sure you might get blocked on some crap from time to time but in general you will benefit more.

I guess my issue is I bought the hyper-unrealistic "park flashy dunks" or whatever they're called... one handed 360 windmills through the legs that get blocked everytime. On my sharpshooting shot creator I equipped the safest packages and it's been going well so far.

Made a post scoring Shot creator at point guard around last month and I’m finally getting around to getting hotspots and my difficult shots badge up and i have to say it’s a low key monster build.

I usually run it with a big or a pure sharp so i don’t have to worry about getting double teamed. Picture the skills of a pure post but you never have to worry about rim protector badge because guards can’t get it. On the fun scale i have to say running this build on 2s has been a 9 for fun. The same post stepbacks i do on my pure post i do with this guy but they work even more because this guy has a higher difficult shots badge.

This is strictly a 2s build tho but i have to say of all my builds this is my second fave after my pure post

Do you think your sharp/slasher is better than the other builds because of badges? I'd imagine your new players don't have badges yet. I play with a buddy who is a shot/sharp and he is a scoring MACHINE.

The pure sharp ended up being a huge letdown: when I originally created him, I lowered the wingspan a bit so he could bang open treys and all that good ****, but then I started watching Agent 00's videos (who is like the expert of pure sharps), and he said if you didn't max shoulders/wingspan then don't even bother... so my three went from a 99 to 96 because of that and I am missing open threes in the park and in shoot around.... gonna have to play around with releases; the build also feels like you have cement shoes. Surprisingly was able to get blocks and rebounds with it (6'5" SG), but that's in my DNA.

Next was the sharpshooting shot creator, which I believed to be the best all-around build (and still might be); I went straight up the middle, with a 6'7", default everything small forward. The only suspect thing is the lateral quickness on defense.

So as a primary 3v3 park player, I went back to play with my 6'10" 250 sharpshooting slasher SF I modeled after Blake Griffin after he got traded to Detroit; I played a PNO game, put him at SF, cheesed to death and got 60 with him or something, and figured he was ideal for the park - he has just enough of a 3 ball that you can keep them honest if they don't respect it, but we all know what happens if they bite... someone's getting dunked on.

It's such a free build; it can truly do everything. I usually get stuck as the big man since everyone and their mom is guards, which is fine; I can block, rebound, am a decent enough shooter that I can camp at the three, etc. Almost always hit shots off a pass regardless of range since I got that badge; the quickness is fine, and you can bring the ball up.

The cherry on top was I opened a variety of MT pack with about 39K, got total garbage, quicksold everything and was only able to get two Amy players out of it.

My 8th myPlayer is a 6'8" SF playmaking shot creator.

I was reluctant to take this because its a sort of 'god build' in the sense it has awesome badges, attribute, and eventually big man contact dunks AND speed boost so it felt cheesy.

I'm at 83 so haven't maxed the big badges nor gotten the dunks/boost yet, but having a blast.

This is a great build but its also a high-skill build because while its good at so much, its not great at anything, and doesn't have go-to like a pure sharp or a slashing rebounder center. The fact I've put in so many hours on other myplayers is really paying off here as I can use every skill I've developed over the course of NBA 2k18. I find that I can routinely play even opponents who are a good 10 points higher than me.

Hope to find a build like this in 2k19 to play from the start rather than so many failed experiments.

Wish i made my SG slashing shot creator 6'8 earlier. I have a PG same build at 6'4 but he's so small, hardly finishes at all. This guy is a monster tho.

Does anyone here know what overall I would need for a 6'4 pure sharp point guard to reach a 75 ball control? How long will it take to grind. Using a pure sharp as my pg for my pro-am team is only worth while if I can get access to the pro dribble moves.

I believe it was 94 OVR for my 6'5 buddy.

I don't know what it is; technically, my pure sharp has way better quickness/speed stats than my sharpshooting slasher, but it sure doesn't feel that way. Maybe it's a mindset thing (I'm assuming height/weight determines a lot too).

Like I said, I based my sharpshooting slash on Blake Griffin (which seems like the ideal player to base a park build on); I honestly think it's all mindset -- how you use your player and playing your role. Every build should be viable. I could still playmake as a rebounding defender because I keep my head up and am always looking past the guy defending me... so many players can't do that; they only try to blow by their guy, and only pass it when they have to/feel like they've ballhogged for too long (obviously your build should contribute to your strengths though).

I mean, is there really a "best build"? Sharpshooting slasher was in Agent 00's top 5 worst builds at launch but at the midway point he was touting it as the best... I know Curry rules the NBA, and when you're playing 3v3 on the park the matchup to watch out for is a pure sharp, but even as that archetype I noticed my rebounding defender could move around the court so much more freely; like there truly was a difference, which pleased me.

But there are obviously comp pure sharps that have their release down to a tee that it isn't even fun, so what do I know?

This is inevitable brah, and they could and probably are changing the system again; the one thing I have always regretted is deleting builds out of frustration/the desire to focus on one... I never learn.
