True, a lot of teams have a pg, sg/sf, and center. So it's like the 4 really is the support role at that point.

Most centers are looking to get dunks or blocks..along with boards. So it's like they expect to be down low and clear out..let the guard pass it down to them.

Maybe try like slasher/stretch? Idk lol ..sounds pretty scary to me if you could stretch out for like free throw jumpers and the occasional 3 while also being able to pump, put it on the floor and baptize someone.

Remember, the athleticism factors in to blocks and boards too so as long as that centers down there to box out you can come in and help pretty easily.

Guess that means I'm happy with my build.

      6'10 250 lbs small forward
      Shot creator/Slasher

In my opinion, there are no weaknesses.

The only time I ever had "problems" is when I was in at the 2 against a 6'3 playmaker who liked to zig zag off of screens from both big men..but I feel like that's more of a game issue than a build issue.

I'm not the kind of guy who takes contested 3s in the first place, so I'm a decent shooter when I'm given space.
Obviously I'm better off the dribble, so if I get a screen or an iso and get space I'm popping a 3. Decent at catch and shoots tho to be honest for what my 3 rating is. Which is a 78 I believe.

Obviously I can drive. I haven't been lucky with my attribute caps so my layups are only at an 80 now.. But I got relentless finisher silver working on gold. Just got posterizer last night.
But my one hall of fame badge is tear dropper. I won't lie. I never do floaters but I need to start because why not lol
I get a lot of dunks tho, and if I do miss, being 6'10 means I get boards.

Underrated playmaker. If you make smart passes you can easily draw a double due to your offensive ability and kick to a shooter.

I get a lot of blocks and chasedowns.

I get a lot of mismatches. Either you're a big and too slow to stop the drive, or you're a guard and too small to stop the post fades or I'll just bully and drop step.

I average 26 and 10..had a game where I dropped 45. Had almost a 20 rebound game and multiple triple doubles.

I was worried about speed at first but tbh it doesn't seem to matter so much. I wouldn't change anything.

The HOF tear dropper really bugs me but other than that this is a great build.

I messed around with a 6'7 pg of the same build. But tbh its really more of a sf build anyway.

The pg did get 2 more gold badges vs the sf of the same build though.

It's like they knew no one does floaters lol

I think it's probably the most well rounded build tho, which is why it works so good as a forward.

If I could have difficult shots Hall of Fame instead it would be so unfair.

          Yo guys need some assistance...

Do you think Ball handler (Primary) and Sharpshooter (secondary) is a decent build? The only thing I don't like is the lack of HoF badges...
My first player was a pure sharpshooter but I don't like that I cant dribble to save my life...

Go with a shot creating / sharpshooting build instead.

I'd suggest primary shot creating / secondary playmaking too, but the other build will get a higher 3s rating which it seems like you want.

If you want a deadly shooting build go primary sharp / secondary shot creator: 96 mid range, 92 3's

              Has anybody made a PF/C Defender/Sharp?

I'm looking at info for a new build. While I don't like the stats of this archetype has anyone taken in the badges this builds get?

It has a good mix of Gold defensive badges and silver offensive badges (Silver postertizer wtf!). Also the bronze badges come in handy as well.

Wanted to know what your experience is with this build. Do the badges help you outplay your caps?

Tried to convince myself several times to make a PF with this combination but just couldn't do it. Everywhere I looked, it lacked the attributes or badges.

I’m debating this build a lot . Just want a hustle build that can spread the floor.

Just so y'all know, I made a slashing shot creator and I was terrible with it. I've switched back to my 6'4 shot creating slasher and I'm considering a playmaking slasher.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?

I am debating between making a 6'8 slashing playmaker or a 6'8 slashing defender.
For the past 2 years I have tried various offensive minded builds and have yet to incorporate the defensive badges into my playing style.
My question to you is, do you think that the defender will be too one sided?
Midrange in the 60s, 3-point in the 50s and a speed with ball at 59.
He is very fast for his size at 6'8 and gets a lot of gold badges incl. HOF CDA and have defensive stats in the low 90s.

I currently have a 6'6 shot creating slasher, and he is really fun to use in mycareer, but feel he should be at least 2 inches taller in Park and Pro-am.
He can still block and chase down, if I time everything right, so I am not sure if a defensive archetype is worth it. A slashing playmaker get 86 ball control, big man contacts dunks and silver posterizer.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?

I've messed around with several archetypes, currently sitting at 235-40 (not the best record, but I've been playing with my little brother's best friend who is the epitome of a shot chucking idiot but he's hysterical when he plays so it's worth every second lol) and these are my 3 favorite archetypes by far:

                        1. Playmaking Defender (Primary Defense / Secondary Playmaking)
SF, he's somewhere in the range of 6'7 - 6'10, I honestly forget.

The badges on this build are absolutely NUTS. I'm primarily an on ball defending and assist kind of guy, so this build compliments my game to perfection. I get Gold defensive badges (rim protecting silver) and all silver passing (dimer, flashy, lob city) and to top it off, you get incredible slashing badges as well. I'll list the badges below so you know specifically what I mean, this guy is so well rounded - he essentially has all the badges you'd want, with the exception of the shooting badges. Luckily, in park, you know damn well there's always a shooter anyway lol
                        Defensive Stopper (Gold)
                        Pick Pocket (Gold)
                        Chase Down Artist (Gold)
                        Charge Card (Gold)
                        Bruiser (Gold)

                        Pick Dodger (Silver)
                        Rim Protector (Silver)
                        Dimer (Silver)
                        Pick & Roll Maestro (Silver)
                        Lob City Passer (Silver)
                        Break Starter (Silver)
                        Flashy Passer (Silver)
                        Posterizer (Silver)
                        One Man Fast Break (Silver)
                        Lob City Finisher (Silver)
                        Putback King (Silver)

                        Acrobat (Bronze)
                        Ankle Breaker (Bronze)
                        Hustle Rebounder (Bronze)
                        Pick & Roller (Bronze)
                        Brick Wall (Bronze)
                        Tireless Scorer (Bronze)
                        Difficult Shots (Bronze)

                        Glue Hands (Gold)
                        Free Throw Ace (Gold)
                        Quick Reflexes (Gold)

                        2. Shot Creating Post Scorer (Primary Post Scoring / Secondary Shot Creating)
                        6'11 PF

As an avid post lover, this build is heavenly. I'd recommend a Pure Post Scoring build as well. I'm essentially unstoppable vs any non pure defending big men, nobody can stop this guy in the post, he's been my primary guy. My mid range is absolutely deadly, it's at least 86 open/cont with silver mid range dead eye, but he just simply doesn't miss. Having HOF Post Spin and Drop Stepper so far has been incredibly effective as well. Once teams realize that they can't contain me one on one, I kick it out once somebody collapses for an open 3, works every time. The rebounding and defense are OK, you just need to understand how to get the appropriate position and box out very well, he isn't incredibly athletic, so your positioning on the rebounding is crucial but manageable. In park, this guy averages around 6 rpg and 3 bpg so it's certainly manageable.

                        3. Playmaking Shot Creator (Primary Shot Creator / Secondary Playmaking)
                        6'4 PG

I know, it's a common build, but it's tough to guard. I can blow by a guy, or utilize a pick and roll 9/10 times for an open running mid range shot or a dump off to the roller. He's got great speed, solid height and terrific shooting stats. HOF Ankle Breaker, HOF Difficult Shots, Gold Mid Range Dead eye, I've been averaging nearly 14 ppg in the park with him - he's seemingly impossible to guard in my brief experiences using him. For some reason, people typically run towards the hoops for this build assuming I'm going for a dunk/layup, I'll either step back or run closer to the baseline/sideline and hit an easy running open jumper.

Honorable Mention Build: Shot Creating Slasher (it's just fun as hell to use)

What I've come to the realization is, there will never be a perfect player due to limited stats. What you need to do is utilize a build that fits to YOUR OWN PLAYING STYLE. Don't listed to Youtube videos of a "DemiGod Build" or make your decision based off of other peoples experiences, pick a build for how you love playing. Love playing defense? Primary lockdown. Love dunking on people? Slashing. Love taking running shots or being fast with the ball? Shot Creator or Playmaking. The list goes on, just mold a guy based on your favorite style of play and you'll love it.

What archetype would best resemble MVP Derrick Rose? On Twitter, Mike Wang described him as a Shot Creator / Playmaker or Shot Creator / Slasher but I think he's more of a Slasher / Playmaker. Also, I'm not sure if it would be more beneficial to flip the primary and secondary archetype to Playmaker / Slasher? Thoughts?

playmaking slasher if you want to be faster otherwise shot creating slasher for the insane finishing ability.

If you're a solid defender without the defense badges then I wouldn't worry about it. That defender is literally gonna be a defend the ball, then be a cutting slasher on offense that everyone in pro am will sag off. If anything I would consider 2-way slasher.

I don't think I am to be honest. I have a hard time playing on ball defense online with the lag. The thing i like with the defense primary is the high shot contest. I created the 2 players in CAP and they can close out so well and contest. But yes, they are not really made for creating space on offense.
