Edit: I play fairly well defensively with my PG, just want to make a defensive terror down-low.

if you are a big man, defender and finisher are pretty similar archetypes, but badges can make the differences on terms of dominance on either the offensive or defensive end.

you can compare their badges and attributes (rebounding can be a factor) on 2klab site to see which one fits better with your vision.

Strongly disagree, the badges alone on this build are ridiculously helpful.

I've played "perfect defense" on this guy and nobody has hit a single shot thanks to his badges.

When I run on this guy, we're winning on average by over 10 ppg, nobody can score.

the 3s team typically consists of me: playmaking defender, a pure lockdown and a playmaking shot creator PG, we're dominating defensively.

I somewhat agree with you on the angles, distance, anticipating, switching - you're right, but I don't think the majority of 2k park players understand the concept of playing on ball defense lol. I think you're underrating the importance of the badges on this build - Gold defensive stopper/pick pocket and silver rim protector have been an incredible combination to defend essentially any archetype for me.
Made this build for the prelude but got deleted. Still deciding on whether to make a SG or SF/PF like draymond around 6'7-6'9. Choosing between having rim protector on gold or pickpocket on gold its a real dilemma...wish they would switch it out for charge card.

Completely agree, that's why I chose to make a SF honestly:

        Gold Pick Pocket
        Silver Rim Protector

At least I have Silver Rim Protector

FWIW: if you make a 6'8 playmaking defender SF you'll also get contact dunks.

Has anybody made a pure defensive PG? 68 BC and 65 mid is scary on a 1. I so badly want to see what its like guarding the perimeter online with all 99s and purple badges. I am just terrified I won't be able to facilitate an offense with such poor offensive stats. You do get a bronze dimer and silver acro and silver poster though. I am looking for someone who's tried it at the 1 and can talk about it.

What's a good Center build for the Suns?

Young team with good young pieces. I was thinking a Defender/Athletic Finisher. They can score with Bledsoe, Booker, and Jackson, so scoring isn't a big concern. I was thinking 6'11 250 would be a size. Don't want to make him too big or heavy.

Or maybe even, a Defender/Shot Creator . I checked the comparisons. The stats are pretty much the same area in most areas but mid range is better . Where that isn't much gap in athleticism and defense. Has the same badges besides Acrobat and One Man Fastbreak. But with LDD/SC you get Mid Range Deadeye, Up&Under, and Drop Step, Tireless Scorer, and Difficult Shots. That seems like a good build for a center. A two-way player. Good defense, with badges and decent ratings as a shot creator, mid range shot and post up game, and enough athleticism to play above the rim

                  HOF Rim Protector
                  Gold Defensive Stopper
                  Gold Putback King
                  Gold Bruiser
                  Gold Lob City Finisher
                  Silver Hustle Rebounder
                  Silver Posterizer

Defendeing / Slashing will get you Gold Rim Protector, Gold Posterizer tho.

Pure defender will be faster than either of those builds tho (especially lateral quickness) and you'd get HOF Rim Protector and Defensive Stopper.

All solid builds defensively, depends if you're trying to grind for HOF badges or if you'd rather have a better, say posterizer badge.
I have a Rebounding Rim Protector, PF 6'10". You also get HOF Brusier, not Gold. Even at silver for the key badges like Hustle Rebounder/Posteriser it makes a big difference. I've got enough speed as well to keep up with some wings defensively. It's a fun build and there's not many like it, usually they're either 7'3" or rebounding/slasher primaries.

Post scorers are the ones who give me the most grief, but there's not really a build that can stop them anyway.

I was thinking along similar lines for my next character.

                    7'3" 340lb Pure Glass Cleaner
                    7'0" 300lb Pure Defender

I'm leaning towards the Glass Cleaner. Those badges and no real penalty for giant size has to be pretty effective.

I have a max size rebound/defender. I really like him. Doesn’t finish in traffic as well as some other builds but at 89 I have the Big Man Contact Dunks and score reasonably well off put backs. The Rim Protector and Stealing Badge are both useful for defending the paint. I win the rebounding battle 9 out of 10 times. The 10th time is when there’s half a dozen max sizers and I end up as a forward. And as others have mentioned, Chasedowns are awesome. I’ve gotten lots of Lebron backboard blocks on breakaway layups.

the build doesnt have relenteless finisher does it? thats probably why you cant really finish in traffic like that

So what would you pick if you wanted to make a Giannis / Lebron style?

I like the HoF One-Man Fast Break that Driving/Playmaker has but only 79 on Ball Control :/

You dont really need ball control to be high for that build to be effective. If youre making 6'8 to 6'11 ish you'll drive by most people anyway.

You cannot replicate someone so tall and so fast as giannis or so strong and so fast as LBJ.
