Assuming you mean a post scoring playmaker if it's a 6'7 PG?

if you go in offline mode, you can quickly create new players and check theirs attributes.

Takes about 15 seconds.

What are some good PF builds to compliment a rebound -athletic or post -sharp centers ?

Maybe something like a 6'11 pure stretch to space even more? PF's are pretty limited especially with all these 7'3 centers.

I recently made a 6'9 Sharpshooting Rim-protector at PF. He is Draymond-esque in Pro-am, and a good compliment if you have an inside/rebounding center like I play with.

Alot of fun to play with, at 6'9, a bit undersized, but plenty fast and quick enough, and good defense. 3 pointer with silver catch and shoot, and corner specialist can keep your defender honest if you're in the corners.

I'm looking for an fun archetype that I can catch bodies with out at the Park.

The odds of ever getting above level 90 on this alt are slim, so I need an archetype that works pretty well out of the box.

Which would you pick?

SF 6'8 Pure Slasher - contact dunk machine
SF 6'8" Playmaking Slasher - contact dunks + pro dribble moves?
SG 6'4" Playmaking Slasher - contact dunks + speed boost

How good are floor general and defensive anchor ? Just wondering for pro am. Might need to invest in a defense - sharp PF.

Think I've finally settled on my second build (6'10" rebounding rim protector is first). 6'8 SF Playmaking Shot Creator. Looks like I can speed boost and get big man contact dunks, 3pt maxes at 80 and I get HOF tireless scorer and relentless finisher.

Downside is only 2 HOF and 2 Gold badges (Tear Drop & Mid Range Deadeye) but that also means less grinding.

Anyone have a build like this and can comment?

A pure point forward gets defensive stopper...

My Shot-creating Playmaker gets DS and it's absolutely no saving grace, as he has some of the worst defensive ratings I've ever seen...around 62-65 for majority of defensive stats and around 60 lateral quickness. Pure point forward can't have much better.

Last year every archetype could have at least 74 for all defensive stats. This year I looked and only a couple perimeter players in the league have worse defensive stats than me...

Pretty much everyone has a playmaking shot creator, at least at the park

Compared to 2k17, they lowered defensive stats for almost all the archetypes.


It sucks but I understand their reasoning: you can get decent to good defensive ratings only if you have lockdown as secondary archetype

If by decent you mean a meager 5 points better then sure. MY 3 + D SF maxed at 75 steal smh. I put 190k vc into him and deleted cuz he was such dissapointment.

So I've made 6'10 post scorer+defender PF, made some progress and just found out something crazy. As PF of same combo i get silver rim protector while same combo Center gets gold rim protector and there is no advantage on PF's side to offset this difference.

I'm feeling really devastated right now..
