I'm after some suggestions for a new build, as I've just got to 140k after grinding my other careers and I'm looking for a new guy to build.

I normally make a Center, but I don't want to make one this year as it's just too easy, although a Pure Post Scorer still holds some appeal.

I have a 6'6 pure playmaker, a 6'6 pure slasher, a 6'4 playmaking slasher, and a 6'7 playmaking shot creator.

I quite fancy a pure point forward, but it's just a 6'10 playmaker with a lower rated ankle breaker badge, so I think I'll get bored with it. Then I was looking at something Giannis-esque (6'11 2-way slasher PF), and I think I'd probably be better off just making a pure slasher.

I pretty much exclusively play mycareer these days as park got a bit repetitive and tired after 16.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I agree playing against the CPU is lame, but sometimes it's fun to just set it to 12 minutes on Pro and see exactly how off you can go... I just made a max height/weight center (low 60's OVR), simmed to the playoffs and nearly went off for 60, and the build is defense primary, rebounding secondary. You can literally just back down in the post and do a nice spin and before you know it you're doing a Shaq/Dwight Howard dunk - and then the JaVale McGee **** where you're pinning **** against the glass and you could be on the whole other side of the court.

I mean, essentially it's the best way to earn VC as well; just sim to the playoffs, get a 1 year contract in the offseason with whatever team will pay you the highest and repeat. You start off at 500 a game... other than that, it's a play now online match; playground games pay pitifully, as I'm sure everything else does.

The only thing I learned is to not delete players, which my ******* still does anyway, after getting frustrated with builds. I'm already so frickin' used to create player>claim free Jordans>go do something else for two hours.

The only time I play my career anymore is to grind badges or if I need some VC real quick.

I got a quadruple double and I was only trying to get flashy passer and limitless range.

I used to think it was fun but idk I been grinding since 2k10 it's lost it's appeal to me...I keep thinking we'll get an online connected career like Madden and maybe I'll play again but until then...

Also, when you create new guys you can quit out of them first park games and it'll just skip them..load back into career and watch the cutscenes I think it's faster..I make a lot of players too lol

I just recently took over being point for my pro am team after years of running the 4 or 5. And I made a playmaking shot creator and a sharp/playmaker and I have to say the sharp/playmaker is much more rewarding for my play style just gotta find missing piece or two and we good

You're more of a stationary shooter than a moving shooter?

What do you favor about the Sharpshooting Playmaker that makes it more rewarding?

I Guess for my play style playing ball growing up I have tendency to set feet before shooting but also the range is more consistent for kick outs and im More pass first anyhow only thing I liked more about shot creator was finishing at rim but it’s just my play style i a can still take moving jumper and run pick and rolll and our sg is a pure so I don’t have to have thee athleicsim to guard other pg’sjust fitbetter for me

If you know how and when to pass you can do everything except maybe 3's. If you know your release maybe also that. Gets silver Hustle Rebounder and Post Scoring badges. Acrobat and Tear Dropper are not really necessary because you wanna catch bodies, but its nice for the little surprise. I dont have 75 ball control at 87 currently, but things will get nasty then. SF may get it earlier.

My pure rim protector my fav build up there with my sharp defender sf both these builds were my first I believed in defense before every wanted it and now my team sees my vision with arch’s and defense just gotta find that one amazing scoring sf And we will be rising the ranks I truly believe that. So many teams are defensed the same way it’s ridicouls put a pure lock on whatever ball handler spamming snatch backs and watch them turn it over.

This is one of my favorite pf builds you can hit threes you don’t get badges but after you dunk on people they will play off you.

I swear my 6'10 slashing shot creator was killing it until I'd say the last patch.

Can't hit 3s anymore, barely finishes layups..and I'm too slow anymore to really take someone off the dribble.

I really wish they'd let you delete and even get half of your VC earned back. They make it so expensive to level up a guy, only to have him become obsolete after certain patches and updates...sigh

I hear u bro . I’m the type of guy to have multiple builds instead of trying to grind to 99 on 1 guy. Problem is boost just work almost like park cards . Yes they work in walk on. My 2 way SC can’t finish layups without boost.

I'm about to retire him for now. He's always bricking layups over smaller guys when he should be dunking and hitting the backboard on reverses I'm over the stress lol.

At least with my pure sharp I hit 3s and don't expect anything else from him.
