Sure, you see a lot of elite pro am teams having a 6'8 playing the 4... smh

Btw, I usually play SF in my team, I move to the PF when a big is missing.
A couple of time I guarded the opposite 4 even if we had our PF beacause I know how to defend taller/bigger guys and how boxing out

You act like having a 6'8 at PF somehow makes it impossible to win against good teams. For as long as Pro-Am has been in the game, my team's tallest player was 6'11 and no one after that any taller than 6'7. My brother played PF as a 6'7 SG. And I assure you we did just fine (fine as in 115-15, and 40-8 records). I'm sorry that you think you have to play the current community meta to be competitive with a top team. Not sure what the smh is about but I don't take anyone serious who uses "smh" as a normal figure of speech, so it's whatever.

I was spamming alley oops ALOT and made sure to always play with a slasher. I’m not that easy this year because the alley pop mechanics are harder.

This year i play about 90% of my walk on games with randoms and i would not say its easy at all. Only one game all year have i had a team actively try to help me get a triple double. Like bigs let me get the boards and everything. All games consists of me earning my teams trust so they let me bring it up. If I’m not allowed to run PG the assists become very hard. The best way to do it just like i said last year was to be a center and make sure you rack up 5-6 assists in the first quarter. On my Ben Simmons guy i try to attack the boards first because i can get the points and assists very easily.

Averaging a trip dub in MyCareer is easy but getting one in walk on is difficult. You have to get lucky one to get a team that can hit shots and 2 you have to touch the ball a lot. Not an accomplishment I’d just diminish no matter the circumstances

I think you'll struggle getting triple doubles in walk on, only because the average level of defense is so bad that there isn't alot of rebound opportunities.. I've hardly ever played walk on with randoms where the other team didn't shoot at least 60%.. Teammates are atrocious.

Come back to talk to me when you have a better statline than that with your pro am team
You were playing walk-on with a full team against 3 bums with no front-court. Like I said... congrats

I just dropped 56/11/4 against some bums... are you impressed?

I was thinking about going for a D'Antoni-system point guard. I wanted to go with a taller point guard (6-4 or 6-5) and for the archetype Sharpshooting Playmaker. Great handles and passing, good shooting, can drive and kick.

Hehe im just trying this build, like the playstyle. With 230 he looks nowhere near the real Ben Simmons though, way too skinny. I guess they use custom player models for all players in the stock rosters because hes actually listed as 230 in the editor.

FWIW, I don't think rebounds are THAT hard to get in Pro AM. More about timing and being in the right spot than anything.

With my 6'10 pure point forward I get a triple double half the time I play, I've had a few games where I have 10+ rebounds 10+ assists and less than 10 points lol

My shot creating post scorer 6'11 PF also had a couple triple doubles, but I only played about 5 or so Pro AM games with him. His triple doubles were easy, grab the offensive board and kick out for an open 3.

I came to the conclusion a while back that people in Pro AM just suck - shot chucking idiots who for some reason refuse to play any type of defense.

I've played Pro AM games where there's a guy on the other team who goes 3/25 from 3 lol

Where did I say anything about winning games being 6'8 at PF?

Winning games in Pro Am (not walk on) is basically depending on a) how good you are with your archetype, b) how well the archetypes in your team mesh c) how good your gameplan is, d) how bad is the other team

I met teams that were full of 3pt shooters and literally didn't give a F about defending and rebounding, since their gameplan was exchanging 3 for 2.

Still I played over 100 games in pro am in 2k18 (and even more in 2k17) and maybe I can recall 3 or 4 teams having at PF somebody shorter than 6'9.

I don't claim that my sample is rapresentative of the pro am universe, but it's all I got for supporting my opinion.

Likewise, the fact that I never was able to get a triple a double before (despite having A LOT of games with points and assists in double digits, and some games where I was one or two rebounds shy of a triple double), it's all I got for being happy for finally having one.

If you regularly have triple doubles or your 6'7 SG regularly get 10 rebounds, good for both of you.

The guys trashing the triple double, that wasn't the purpose of the post. He was talking about an effective build that can seemingly do it all and be a triple double threat. I have a 6'7 shot creating playmaking PG and I average a double double with 5 rebounds, so I'll flirt with a triple double on occasion. The one thing lacking is the height/rebounds and my athleticism is also not as high as a slashing/playmaker. I think that would be a lot of fun to play with due to the heightened athleticism verse my current build.

not sure where to post this but...

I didn't even notice there was controller option for camera relative/absolute defense. I changed mine to absolute and have been more successful staying in front of my man. I play on broadcast btw.
