My 6'6" 230 playmaking defender gets blown by on a regular basis by shorter, lighter, and weaker players who have no bruiser badge to counter my silver bruiser.

This play that I've cued up at 9:56 is a good example of what I see on a nightly basis, despite being taller, heavier, and stronger than 95% of the point guards that I'm matched up against:

I get that bullfighter "ole" defense animation at least 2 or 3 times per game whenever I'm guarding people with this playmaking defender.

Was that a vertical contest block? I’m 100% sure I would have fouled

Jesus the Ben Simmons build is efficiency personified if you have the willpower to only take good shots. Passing accuracy is amazing, Your dunk on guys, play D, and if your team needs rebounding help you can put up a 10 rebound game fairly consistently. Every time i get put in a game with 2 AI bigs i go off on the boards.

Thinking about trying this build out. In 2k16 and 2K17, I had a versatile forward that was a triple double machine. Ball handling wasn't nearly as good as I'm assuming the Ben Simmons setup is. Just to make sure this is the correct way to build, its P&H as primary and D & F secondary?

Also, what does his speed and speed w/ball max out at ?

This would be only my 2nd build since the game came out. I only have a 6'7 shot creating playmaker SG right now.

It would be great if 2k didn't make you go through an entire story line before seeing your maxed out attributes. I'm not sure if they changed that or not since I haven't created a new player in a while. I appreciate your help.

Yep you got archetypes right


Speed with ball is only like 75 but feels like high 80s in game because of gold one man fast break


My dude is 6’ 10 so that’s probably why my speed is only 75 but it feels much faster in fans

Never have speed issues even against guards



Point forward builds are still as OP as they were last year honestly. They could shoot 3s like sharps last year so that was over the top but I’m still around 50% even with only a 74 rating.

You'll love it, bro. You can literally do everything defensively and offensively. Dribble, dunk, shoot the open three occasionally, mid range is money, good defense, strong, chasedown blocks. It's crazy.

Yeah playmaking is first

I modeled it off Ben Simmons and not LeBron

Simmons is very passive compared to LeBron scoring wise
