I was going to try and make a SF 6' 8" Sharpshooting Shot Creator to try and mimick Jayson Tatum. What do you guys think?

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I need some advice on which kind of big I should make.
I made a max height max weight athletic finisher primary, rebounder secondary.
I can't do anything I want to. I get outboarded, outscored, outran, out everything lol
And it frustrates the you know out of me because I consider myself a great bigman. I can take my 6'10 SF and go down low and grab more boards, block more shots, and even post up..but not my center.
So I deleted him.
To describe how I play, I like to be down low and be a scorer. I use a lot of head fakes and up and unders to get open, a la Hakeem. I like having a little bit of a mid range jumper but 3s don't matter.
Defensively I wanna be able to block and board...
I was thinking post up/defender..
But I'm not sure on height and weight...
Sent from my Z981 using TapatalkI don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Depends on who you're playing with and if your teammates give you the ball enough to let you make plays.
But they can function just fine and do a bit of everything. One thing that can give a lot of fits is a good playmaker whose teammates give them space to create. If they don't they're pretty useless.Comment

Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Can’t be this enough
I can run that Ben Simmons build with randoms and CONTROL the game completely offensively and defensively
If i play with my pure slasher friend i am forced to run with my sharp because all good teams will do is double me leaving him open all game
It’s comical, my friend actually thinks my Ben Simmons dude is pure trash because he ends up having to score all the points if i run with him. He only plays with his slasher so I just get my shooter because u already know what the D will do

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Anybody have a 6'9" Sharpshooting Primary/Playmaker 2nd build? I want to make this but I want to know what Overall I have to be in order to get to 75 ball control for the animations...Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Do you currently have another player who could get those animations, but doesn't already have them purchased? There is a glitch which enables you to put animations on dudes that don't meet the requirements.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Think that build hits 75 ovr at either maxed out playmaking or 2 or 3 before max

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
If I do a 6'10 build, would you say that doing defense/slashing might be better? I know I originally asked about a "no offense" build but this player I use would mostly likely be as a park big, and like you said I would only bust it out if I had 2 competent scorers/ball handlers to play with. The way I see it, this guy would get most rebounds anyways.
Ultimate it comes down to whether or not you want to be able to create a little bit of offense for yourself or just rely on putbacks and team matesComment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I'm at 90ovr + 1 upgrade capbreaker on my two-way post scorer and still many crucial upgrades missing. On 90th ovr upgrades i got ball control+passing upgrades, at 1st capbreak after 90ovr i got 3pt and stamina upgrades. Can't be more angry about not being able to choose what i want to upgrade first, some archetypes are really almost done at 90ovr while others need like 94ovr to cap the archetype based upgrades.
Other than that really enjoying two-way post scorer. Being able to defend the post and be legitimate offense threat down low and midrange is really opening up things for the team compared to those rebounding slasher who only take under basket dunks.Attached FilesComment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Almost got a quad double with my Two-Way Rebounder in Walk-on. Closest I’ve ever gotten. My FG percentage was pretty balls but when I realized I was close, I only had 3 points so I started forcing shots lol.
I really like the build. The annoying part is without relentless finisher, I miss quite a bit if there’s traffic around the rim. And traffic can sometimes just be a guy standing nearby. But I’m pretty beastly on Defense in the paint and even with Slashing Rebounders, I usually come out on the positive side.Last edited by Thrustie; 11-26-2017, 01:26 PM.Comment

Dunks
Post Offense
Rebounds
Blocks
Speed
Stamina
So significant for my archetype.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Yo so I have an 89 overall shot creator/slasher. I was wondering for pro am should I switch to slashing playmaker? 99 speed, 93 speed with ball sounds enticing. I play point guard.
I was looking to be more of a scoring guard but it hasn't really panned out. I'm more of an 18ppg and 11apg with a couple of steals. I just notice that at times it's hard to get to the rim because my player is slow. Now I know you unlock first step or whatever with an 86 overall ball handle and I haven't gotten there yet. My entire game is about getting quality paint touches.
What do you guys think? Should I just be patient and build this player or switch to playmaker/slasher?
UPDATE
So I looked up some Youtube videos of pure playmakers and stuff and they honestly don't look all that fast this year. Am I wrong?Last edited by Chas3; 11-27-2017, 04:58 AM.Comment

I also have a 6'6 PG pure playmaker. I made this guy because I primarily play HoF career mode and I wanted to take being the primary scoring option off the table, and this has been a lot of fun to play with. You have to really know what you're doing and what your limitations are. I play on the wolves, and my averages of 24/11/20 are pretty much spot on for what I was looking for. He doesn't feel as fast as I thought he would, but I went minimum weight. He's a 90ovr at the mo, and I still have attribute for Spd/Acc left and they're at 91/92.
If I was making him again, I'd probably make him heavier and 6'7 to sacrifice a bit more speed to make him a bit sturdier as he can feel weak.Comment
