Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
It's a different stack for each build this year.
You will see your upgrades available with yellow indicating a soft cap and white indicating a hard cap.
You control the yellow cap but the white cap is given at a time on 2Ks discretion.
So as an example, you might have 80 as your initial cap on mid range but still 3 more upgrades available after that: the catch is that 2k will decide when you unlock those upgrades 😦

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Channing Fryes best all around games where he actually decided to play some post defense id say he played like a Rim Protecting Sharp
Ibaka yes
Rasheed Wallace?
Zydrunas Ilgaskus in his later career?
Idk that’s a weird combo of skills

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Im curious as to what people think is the hardest build to guard. For me its definitely Sharpshooting Slashers, if they're 6'11 or under they get the driving contact dunks and if you give them any space they can hit a 3, I've gotten ao annoyed guarding them that I've decided to make a SF 6'10 Sharpshooting Slasher.
I've consistently been able to stop every other build with my playmaking defender.
I actually think shot creating slashers are the hardest wings to guard.
Shot Creators seemingly have the same 2 or 3 moves they do all day, running to the base line or elbow for a midrange shot, easy enough to predict where they'll go.
You can't create LeBron lol it's impossible, he's too well rounded.Comment

That said, I only find them difficult to defend. I can typically wreck them on the glass and I generally find they don’t have as big of a defensive impact. Even with my limited two way rebounder, I can bully them in the paint. Where they do shine is situations where they have a second Center to protect the rim and grab boards for them.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Well, the game has been out for about 2 months. For those of you who made one archetype and stuck with it - did it turn out like you had hoped?
I feel like I finally broke the glass ceiling on my playmaker. I can shoot, pass, dribble, and defend 1-4. Last couple of weeks of Playground been pretty damn fun lowkey.

7'3 pure post scorers that understand how to utilize the post game for sure.

shot creating slasher or playmaking slasher would mimic them.

Lebron is impossible to recreate more for his mix height/weight/speed/strenght than for his skillset
A slashing playmaker can mimic his skillset quite well.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Pick 2 things you wanna do then
If you are playing offline only then ok pick maybe a 6’ 9” point forward. Can dunk pass shoot and defend and rebound
If you play mostly online just give up that you’ll ever play with teammates that will cater to your all around game. Pick 2 things you really want to do well. If you wanna rebound and dunk pick a finishing rebounder. If you like shooting and passing pick and sharpshooting playmaker
Ppl online suck so hard man if you try to make an all around dude you’ll never be utilized correctly

Good looks I was debating between those two builds actually lol I think I’m going to go with a 6’9” or 6’10” Playmaking Slasher just because of his versatility to play the 2-5
