It has to be bruiser, because there's really no drill or thing you can do in game to get a lot of points. With OMFB you can at least spam the hell out of it in a game and a drill, takes longer but at least it's clear what it is. I see "bruiser" pop up all the time in a game and then I see how many points I got for it in a game and it's like 150.

The only drill I know of for Fast Break you can get like, less than 500 points for.
I'd say fast break is by far the hardest IMOComment

You can do some drills for Bruiser and get 3,000 points though. Gauntlet perimeter D for example (or whatever the hell that drills called)

"wing" defense drill seemed to be most consistent giving me any progress , but still its very slow getting 500-1.2k points (occasionally none) , dont see myself getting to hof bruiser before 2k19 releases.Last edited by Vroman; 11-15-2017, 12:36 PM.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
lol unfortunately not, I wish I did .. don't have that badge on ANY guy maxed
I've tried all available under "bruiser" i never get more than 1.2k points . And even getting that is inconsistent, sometime i just get no points at all for making contact stops.

Immediately back up a little bit, then when they start running towards the hoop - run into them and force them to pick up their dribble / alter their dribble to the side.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Got bored with the game lately and made a 6'8 defense (1) playmaking (2) build at pf. Took him to the park the other day with just bronze chase down and I was surprised how many blocks I was getting. I'm way faster than the bigs I was guarding so I could usually get the step and get position for offensive boards. Can't wait til I get the badges up to gold

Gauntlet defensive drill, the perimeter one I get anywhere from 2,000 minimum - maximum I've had is 4,000 points, that's my best suggestion. I'm sure there's other drills you could do this too.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I've had it for a long time. That practice in training is actually really useful. I always did a half spin into behind the back which would instantly take me clear of the cpu defender if I timed it right, then I'd do a double acrobatic layup/floater, so I was working on 2/3 badges at least every trip up the court.
Like, do you purposely cherry pick lol or have you just played an insane amount of combined season/park/pro am games?
I'm baffled.
He has to average 2-3 steals per game and 3-4 blocks per game it's nuts. Majority of my blocks are from playing help defense too.
My badges are perfect for the way I enjoy playing on this guy, which is a combination of defense and playmaking (my 2 favorite aspects)
GOLD:
Defensive Stopper
Pick Pocket
Chase Down Artist
Bruiser (nice addition when guarding bigs)
SILVER:
Pick Dodger
Dimer, P&R, Lob City Passer, Flashy
Rim Protector
Combine that with random clutch silver badges like, Break Starter, Putback King, Posterizer, One Man Fast Break etc. and it suits my style of play perfectly.
I've gone somewhere in the range of 300-50 record wise in the park with this build, majority of my losses coming from playing with idiotic randoms.
I usually look to make the extra pass rather than score, due to the scoring attributes being low and I have Silver Dimer anyway to boost their shot. Half my points are essentially from fast breaks if I had to guess. I just try and play lockdown defense, help when needed, then facilitate as a playmaker on offense.
It's worked great, I've gone on multiple 30 or 40+ win streaks with my usual squad on this guy.
I've really been switching between playing with my 6'8 playmaking defender SF and my 6'10 pure point forward guys, not sure which one I like better yet.
My shot creating post scorer PF is fun to play with still, unstoppable on offense, gotta give him a shout out too.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
My main issue is that I'm just bored with this guy now. I have all my badges maxed, and the grind between ranks is just too intense for me to want to keep going with him any longer. I wish we could sell our myplayers instead of T-shirts.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
That's still crazy, don't you only get like 450-500 points per drill for fast break assuming you get 5/5 on fast break points?

Man, you can shut down ANY opponent in park, literally, any damn opponent. My guy is just ridiculous, I wish I made him 6'10 instead of 6'8 honestly.

Damn, now you're making me regret on not making him 6'10 lol. The way you described your play style is pretty much the same as mine. Set screens, pick and roll(fade), and just keep the ball moving on offense.
I do love the ability to switch out on everything the most though. Only time I had trouble was against 7'3 centers that got into the paint.
