I never delved into it, but I think the reason for that was height/weight/Wingspan.

Like, let's say 6'4 220 was your archetype baseline, but you went taller/skinnier and dropped your strength by 1 or 2. So instead of 60, your cap is 58.

So, baseline you get say 13 bricks to go from 30 strength to 60. After adjustments, it's still 13 bricks, but it's now 30 to 58. In order to hit that cap you can't gain the same amount per brick.

Although, I'd rather you change a few 2s into 1s, instead of a 1 into a zero so it doesn't look like you're getting fleeced

Great point but still bull****. Atleast put the zero upgrade in the beginning so I only spend 200 vc on it instead of 5k

If 2k isn't going to let your overall carry over to new characters then they need to be as transparent as possible with these characters. Especially if they're serious about the e sports scene. Tell us everything we need to know about each archetype which is the min-max(before getting to 99) and the max- max(reaching 99) and all the badges that archetype can have.

is anyone made lower weight(7'2 center 225 ibs) and lowest shoulder width? i know its prelude and diffuculty is not hard but with that combination i feel like post moves success(like drop step) and rebounding better than max shoulder withd and max weight(300 ibs)
btw both of them post-defending centers

Now you see how I feel about it when I see everyone saying 'Oooh I'm going Shot Creator/Playmaker or SC/Sharp, and anything in-between. Kind of getting a bit annoyed, because now any one of us who was a SC in 17 are gonna get lumped in with the 'bandwagoners' and people who copy YouTube...

I know Ima be one of those Shot Creator noobs . I've been practicing heavy tho in 2ku , making multiple builds , and shot creating on 2k17. @CaelumFang still watching tape of your 40 point game earlier this week lol

Lol, nice.

It's really all about reading people's tendencies when they're on defense. Once you learn how a lot of people like to run at and/or overcommit on defense, you'll start to learn how to take the angles. One or two steps on the defense, and it's over for them. Hell, it's for those reasons why I can frustrate even Lockdowns (most I ever put up on a LDD was 34 on only three total missed shots).

My only bane was either people bringing their man to me, or really big players, because our speed with ball and ballhandling weren't enough to consistently get by them. For some dumb reason, you really couldn't blow by larger, slower players consistently, which should change in 2k18.

This. It's how I lived as a Slasher last year. "This guy over-shades baseline, Middle penetration" or "He's seen this move X times already, Let's see what happens when I tack this on the tail end".

I can/could instantly tell when a guy was decent to good by the way he'd play D. Giving me a subset of playmaker skills when I ran slasher like a 6'6 draymond last year is ridiculous. If they do not change the way it currently feels, all the youtube chumps talking about "These duals give you speed boosting" while ignoring the substandard defense are going to get wrecked.

Anyone worth a damn can tell this is NOT 2k17. At all.

I liked the build a lot. I had an athletic finisher and this is much more of a halfcourt build . I could definitely see some David Robinson qualities.

I've only had the energy to build 2 players last year. playmaker and sharpshooter..I'm jumping on the Shot creator bandwagon. Ya'll look really good this year.
