I made a Primary Shot Creator/Secondary Finisher 6'3 SG and he's OP for his rating. I can dunk on people, hit 3's, rebound, block, & good handles. Only downside is that i'm short for my position and have no strength at all. I got a double double in every street game

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
It's settled, I'm making two players to see which one I like better: A Shot Creator/3-Point Shooter and a Shot Creator/Ballhandler. The SC/Ball mix feels like, once it levels up, you'll be able to cook the hell out of your defender.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Any thoughts on why this might be?
Do we have to reach a certain height to weight proportion before we are considered physically competent?
I'm going to try a pure slasher build.
For observation purposes: KD is dunking impressively in the 2KU mode. I remember in 2k16 you also had to be at least 220 to be considered a Bruiser and you had to have like .950 (guessing here) On your weight to height (cm) ratio.
I felt very incapable if being an attacker with the 6ft6 193 build. I shot well and better than I expected but 6ft6 220 might be the way to go which is my 2K17 build.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I can say as a LDD PF I felt too light to stop guys driving on me. I did get some blocks though so it wasn't all bad plus I liked my ability to switch to a guard on a PnR.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Hmm thats weird..I made a 6'7 pf 230 max wingspan defender/passing and I was able to get stops and a couple blocks here and there. I really like the build im running with but might end up making him 6'9 just to see the difference in height will doComment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I like the potential of the Shot Creator 1, Slasher 2 build
I went 6ft6 220 PG.. still not triggering any dunks but ehh he's a 55.. made a swagger 3 from limitless off a Snatch back [emoji44]

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
TBH, impossible to tell cause I couldn't upgrade it or do much.
I will say I was happy that my steal spamming was met with lots of foul calls. Just testing the waters lol.
Also, is there a place where we can see what kind of badges a secondary archetype gets?
I saw someone mention gold defensive stopper if defense is secondary. I find that hard to believe. I thought they'd cap it at silver or bronze. But if it's gold?
Yo a team full of primary on offense and secondary on defense....holy *@(#&!@( would that be awesome.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Last year I used a shot creator and a post scorer for the most part. Tried a shot creating playmaker (PG) and a post scoring athletic finisher (C) and both were very underwhelming.
Tried a playmaking slasher (PG) and that build seems very exciting. Speed, ball handling, layups, dunks, good passing. I think I will try that out.
The only thing worrying me is the jumpshot. According to 2klabs, the 3-point for this build will be 70-75 and mid-range 68-77 depending on the build. Seemed a lot harder to score from deep with the playmaking slasher than with the shot creating playmaker. Everything else seemed a lot more efficient.
Strength seems important as well in situations where you are driving past your man. Too slim build seems to get bullied and pushed back a lot more this year. Will be difficult to find that perfect balance with speed, strength and height.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Tried a couple of builds, SF play slasher and SF play post scorer.
They played very similar, but I was expecting that cause of low rating, and I was comfortable with both.
The post scorer if matched with a weak defender can be barely contained, also when driving and not just down the block.
The slasher was funny cause of the dunks (and one spectacular block, due the higher vertical I guess)
Let's see the badges before the final decision.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Bro I was coming here to say the same two way shot creators are the wave this year. I made a Defending/Shot creating PF 6'11 235 lbs. I slide 3-5 and being able to move like a guard and and still be the height of a C is awesome. I can't wait to update dunk packages and see what dribble moves I can try

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I know for a fact on my shot creator/ Lockdown defensive stopper is silver. It's actually listed in my build. I'm trying the build again today but with defense as primary because I prefer to have defensive stopper gold.#1 Laker fan
