Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
You won't be able to do anything in the post (because walkon pro-am players don't feed the bigs).
My 7'3" glass cleaner is far more impactful than my 7'2" Rebounding Post Scorer ever was in Pro-Am/Park.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Hey All,
New to the forums. I was thinking of making a 2nd Character. My first was a 94 overall 6'6" Pure Glass Cleaner (my Chuck Hayes build), but it's just a grind to get rebounds over all these max height, max weight players. I've played far too many games with this build..
So, my idea for another build is a Wizards-era Michael Jordan. So, a post-prime version of MJ. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this? I'm thinking above-average post game, and still a decent finisher inside(lose the athleticism, though). Also with a subpar three point shot. What's the best dual archetype to create this build. Any way I can actually make him older, too? This is really intriguing. Any help would be much appreciated.
Anyway I am really in love with my 6'8 Rebounding Sharpshooter (Brian Cardinal clone). I am putting up nearly 9 points a game and pro-am along with almost 5 boards all while shooting over 40% from 3!
I am looking to make a point guard now and at the moment would like someone similar to Earl Watson or maybe Sebastian Telfair... any suggestions for those builds?Comment

I ran post scorer all last year and yeah don’t even make one unless you are ok with never being used by your teammates

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I would say don't make it your main build if you make one. It is my MyCareer/Park build for now because there is better spacing on the Park with less players and MyCareer is tailored for users with around a 90 OVR. You will be underutilized in both ProAm and Park unless you run with friends and the block animations when you do your moves will drive you insane(if you are a hardcore/competitive person).76 6"6" 180lbs Sharpshooting Playmaking SF

This is a fine build for NBA but you are going to get eaten up on the boards in Pro-Am by 7'3" 340lb, max strength, max wingspan centers.

So im gonna stick with NBA games only... I once made a 7'3 center and it was like watching a movie in slow motion, I almost fell asleep...Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I have 6'11 Rebounding Post Scorer 91 overall. One on one I'm almost unstoppable and I get tons of rebounds because of good positioning but once you battling in paint with real bigs - there is no chance. This build is surprisingly great dunker as well, I can finish many mover with huge slams.
Anyway I created 7.2 287 lbs Sharpshooting Post Scorer and it is already more impactful archetype, 88 OVR now. I already have most of a badges and can hit threes with ease, even some contested too. I get way more blocks and contesting shots with right stick works better.
When my random teammates don't feed me in a Paint for a post moves - I hit threes, if they don't feed me again I don't share ball when I get rebounds, driving to other part of a court and posting up by myself. They see how smartly I score in a post and then they starting to feed me...
I really like to play 2vs2. Here I have tons of advantage, if my teammate can beat his match-up one on one then he won't see any double-teams, you know why.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
If you have at least silver rim protector and silver hustler rebounder you can get away with being a smaller inside big.
But I wouldn't recommend making anything less than a 7'3" max weight big man if you don't have those two badges on silver or better.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
i can't decide between those archetype combos for my new SF/PF
(for nba and walk on games, no focus on park)
a) Defense / 3 PT or vice-versa
b) Slashing / 3 PT or vice versa
i'm looking for some feedback on those combos.
somewhere between those 290 pages i read that 3&D builds suck, but i wonder whyI'm really looking for a 3PT build with slashing or defense

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Debating between a 6'4" playmaking shot creator and a 6'4" shot creating playmaker... leaning towards shot creator primary but can't decide any input?
Also debating between 6'1" and 6'4"Last edited by Foldzy; 12-10-2017, 08:13 PM.Comment

That has me thinking Defense/Slashing vise versa, would be a great build. Might not be able to shoot at all, but still be a good build.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I think you would be better off with Slashing/3pt. The problem with 3&D builds, is that one takes a huge hit. With 3pt/Def, 3pt is average but defense is slow and average at best. With Def/3pt, it would be hard to be elite defense because 3pt brings speed down, but also 3pt maxes to around 65-70. So with that build your banking on badges really helping you out. That was the build I really wanted to play as too.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Def / 3 your 3 pointer maxes at 75 with default and 73 with max wingspan. It is still one of the fastest builds. Your defense is above average but not elite. It’s a nice build. Ratings around 87. 3/D build your 3 pointer is 86 but defense is only average at about 75 ratings. 3/slashing is trash IMO. No defense and cannot slash really. Slash / 3 is nice at the 4. Can do it all and average defense. 3 will be a 75 or 73 with max wingspan .Comment
