I can't do pro am walk on anymore.

People have no idea how to utilize their team. I'm a 7'1 two way athletic finisher. The PF on my team last night was a pure athletic finisher.

Both of us kept trying to read the ball movement and set screens and the guards just kept throwing up shots.

It's insufferable to watch people badge chase or they just don't know what they're doing.

I hope they can address this somehow though it's not really 2k's fault.

I'm not the best at the game but I do now how to play basketball so I kind of make up for it but man it's frustrating

I'm looking at making a 6'10 small forward, primary is defence. Min weight, max wingspan.
Can't decide on what to make secondary, pretty open to something different/fun.
Been thinking secondary playmaker or sharp...
Any recommendations?

Defending / Passing & Ball Handling for a SF is ranked #1 out of 189 possibilities on the site I was just looking at - I'd go with that.

Thinking of making a pure lockdown C, with max height and max weight. Anyone try this build already or something similar to this?

You'll be incredibly slow, that's the only downfall, the lateral quickness is actually much better than you'd expect though.

You won't be able to score on solid defenders, but you can shut down a 1v1 post situation - in 3v3, you'll struggle guarding any quicker "point forwards" on the perimeter. I've played a lot of 3v3 where the opposing team's "big" is just a point forward.

In Pro AM, you may experience some difficulty running down the court dependent on the speed of the game.

Solid build though, you can dominate the glass defensively and protect the paint like no other - I dabbled with a PF pure defense, loved it. My favorite aspects in 2k are playing on ball / off ball defense, and then passing so, I'm sticking with a SF Defending / Passing guy.

There's nothing to address, random teammates in Pro AM are just selfish, shot chucking, ball hogging idiots, been that way for years lol

Yeah I typed that and then felt stupid lol.

I don't know maybe a way to do ranked somehow? That probably makes no sense but it's brutal lol.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good shot timing? I'm struggling to get the feel down for some of the shots that I've used in the past and trying to figure out what's a good one this year.

I honestly don't even know how they do their matchmaking, is it random, is it by rep, by overall etc.

I'm sure there's something in place for matchmaking, but regardless you'll get the idiots anyway, that's just something I've learned to accept at this point. I usually just roll in with a group of at least 3 people in Pro AM lol

6'4 Playmaking Slasher. So primary Slasher. Just got ball control to 86. Guy is a ******* monster. Fast enough first step and good enough handles to be an issue. Pretty sure I get up to 75 rebound, can green 3s off good passes occasionally, same with midrange, and I get the playmaker pass animations

A playmaking slasher gets 75 in rebounding?

I have 2-3 more boxes in it. I'm at 70 now on off/Def rebounding

Playmaker first looks appealing because you get 79 mid/76 three vs 75 mid/68 three slasher first, aswell as 86 speed with ball vs 79 slasher first, and better passing (according to the default everything build + max attributes vids on youtube)

My slasher first playmaker has 82 Speed with ball. He is 6'4, however.
