No,no, no, we don't dribbling dumbed down again. We just need defense boosted. This year people don't even use the dribbles anymore anyways, they just side to side. Giving that first step to more people could induce more creativity than just back and forth on the left stick.

Was going to bring this up. It's so annoying guarding off-ball zig-zagging sharpshooters. Had to play against one yesterday and I eventually figured the best way is to just constantly bump them and not to let them get to their spots, but there are times when they'll run hard to the right, you run with them, and then they'll receive a pass and then be able to go hard left with the ball, while my guy is still stuck in quicksand, unable to recover.

Eventually, you see a pattern with them, because they're not good at anything but that, but it's annoying in the first quarter or so when you get got a few times.

I find my point forward with 65 lateral is decent because of his size on defense. He's 6'7 so when I'm guarding any type of wing I'm OK. My pure slasher has 75 lateral with pick dodger and pick pocket and it's a HUGE difference. Add the 91 off ball speed VS 85 and it's curtains for sharps. I'll block 3 pointers into their mouths off the pick and roll. But for the life of me I can't buy a bucket with that guy outside 15 feet. Alas, if only 2k didn't hate slashers.

Anyone having an issue where compression shirt/pants and socks don’t appear anymore? I have them equipped but don’t see them in pro am.

This began when I made a new guy.

Thinking about making pure defender or playmaker defender next year. Playing as a defensive shot creator this year, and I really enjoy guarding and locking people down, my rating is 75 and I guarded 87 shot creator sharpshooter last game and he shot 2/11. I have most fun playing pro am walk on, having my own team/group of players would be dope

I haven't spent any VC and don't intend too, 2k is so cheap and greedy that I am a bit annoyed by it, I mean, 50 vc for being the player of the game, what the hell, just don't give us any reward then, this is insulting. i am just 75 without a cent spent on VC but I haven't really played MyCareer that much, but playing online is fun.

If i were to create a pure defender next year, if archetype type stays close to what is now, what's the post positiion to play with that archetype combination? I think shot creator doesn't fit me because I am more of a basketball player than basketball game player, I don't know which shot releases are the best, which combination of buttons make the best moves, I think playmaker defender would fit me the best, I understand the game and I like to pass and I love to play defense

Yeah it's ridiculous how you basically are limited to one MAYBE two players in terms of actually being able to play with them competitively. They give you 10 slots, but the amount of time it takes to grind compared to the price ($500~) is absolutely insane.

At this point in the cycle, I have one player that I primarily play with (Playmaking Slasher) and I've grinded him from the jump to a 91 overall. He's basically my money maker for my other builds because I'm done upgrading him/caring about upgrading him. Whenever that endorsement check comes, it goes straight to my other builds.

But 2K gets away with it because they know people will spend money on it, especially once they find out that a build is basically terrible.

Or they patch/tweak and now your build sucks for the next few weeks.

I've found this to be the best form of defense as well. There was a zig zagging sharp who ran point in park and killed me the first game. The next game I picked him up at half court and constantly ran into him which totally threw him off and we dominated.

2K is doing stupid stuff where when you change over to another player and then go back to another player, it puts you in a brown shirt, gray sweats, and 2K shoes. This also effects your proam accessories. Been like that from the jump and I've been unable to find a fix. It's really annoying because you have to go back into your mycourt (loading screens) and put all of that stuff back on.

That’s pretty much what happened.

I went to the closet and changed my clothes for the playground and it worked however when I equipped my compression shirt/pants and socks again they no longer appear in games.

Last patched messed up some accessories if you changed recently.

Just so you guys know, I’m recruiting for pro am. Preferable a shooter. We’re 18-1. Previously elite 2. As long as you can guard.

Any build that has a three point rating under an 80 is meant to take catch and shoot threes from the corner, not from the wings or the top of the key.

You need extra badge bonuses or the on-fire bonus kicking in if you want to shoot threes consistently above the corners with a sub-80 rating.

I been meaning to respond to this. This is not my experience. I'm pretty consistent off the dribble from anywhere beyond the arch using a straight up Pure Playmaker.
